whats the biggest change now your married

How much I eat, lol

Seriously, before I lived with DH, I ate so much less...I often wouldn't eat dinner if I got home late. Now, I'm eating dinner at 11PM sometimes!

i also have to be the one who buys all the cards and presents for two families now and thast kind of hard especially since im not 100 percent sure what to buy his family. i think its puts an extra pressue on me thats for sure

My new last name came easy - I had been practicing it for so long

The other thing that changed was my freedom from birth control and the fact I wasn't scared to get pregnant anymore.... I'm surprised no one else mentioned this. It was so liberating for me! My hubby tells me its the old Catholic School guilt I had!

My maiden name had long letters (d & l) and married name has alot of alot of low letters all together (mmi) alot of up & down (if that makes sense) and at first it was very confusing but it has gotten easier.

Several times I signed my maiden name to checks with my married name on it.

everyone keeps asking me how married life feels lol. i lived with my dh before we were married so i already knew what to expect. i do feel this strange hard to discribe feeling. i almost feel like we are more important to each other if thats possible. does anyone know what im feeling?

Same here. It just feels nice to say 'this is my husband' instead of 'this is my fiance, we're getting married.... blah blah'.

The Catholic thing is way funny too. It is very liberating not having to worry about getting pregnant before the big day

Getting used to his habits (picking his nose, farting, not shaving 2 or 3 days, stinking up the bathroom, etc.); sharing a bed with someone everyday; signing papers and legal docs with my new name. We did not live together before we were married. We lived with our parents. I spent a lot of time at his mother's house on weekends and familiarized some of his habits but not all. Spending weekends is not the same as living together 24/7. It was much of an adjustment at first but we have gotten used to living together now.

Happily married ever after.

Hence leaving a note, calling, saying my husband etc

He is cuter... and he tries harder. I guess he feels more of a responsibility to me now.

ALSO, he LOVES introducing me. Before, I would always have to introduce myself to his friends & co-workers, or whoever....now he's all..... this is my wife, Melani.

Dex too keeps telling everyone Im his wife, on our honeymmon he told the world we just got married, now he just tells the world Im his wife, its cute!

i feel responsible for a lot more in this world, but that's okay, because there is always somebody by my side. hope that makes sense!!! i take things like keeping the house clean and making dinner much more seriously than i did before. we find ourselves taking about the future (kids, bigger house) much more than we ever did before.

This is SO true of my DH too, I think 'being married' has affected him more than me. It has taken his dedication to us and our relationship to another level, he tries harder to be understanding and work out conflict, instead of shutting down. I know he takes his responsibilities as a husband very seriously and to heart, which is adorable. Whereas for me, I went through that when we got engaged.

He also introduces me to everyone as his wife, its the cutest thing ever. I used to stand next to him when meeting new people, and would have to intro myself, he would never remember to do it, it was so annoying . I think it was b/c he did not like the word fiance

nrvbrd, Did I also forget to mention that my DH also cuts his toe nails in the bedroom in front of me as he sits while surfing the net and watching TV??? I've asked countless times to do it in the bathroom where it's hygeine (sp?) but he refuse.

My hubby does the toe nail cutting as well, but he knows his a$$ better clean them up. It totally skeeves me. He tries not to do it in front of me too much.

I guess being closer and making lots of future plans - we lived together also but now I feel like we are more of a family.....

We also have joint savings now whereas before we didnt. I also do all of the Xmas cards now, and do most of the Xmas shopping for our families....

We didn't live together before so there were a lot of fun changes. I love every one of them The biggest thing I had to get used to was signing my name, still feels funny.
