i want to... but i am not sure if i am registered as a Democrat or an independent....
if i'm a registered independent, i cna't vote in the primary.

I was registered as a Democrat, but I am not sure if I changed my status on paper to an independent... although i definitely did that in my head, that's for sure....

is there a way to find that out?

In NYC there is a number you can call and they can tell you: 212-vote-nyc. I am sure there is a similar thing on LI.
