Wineries

Some friends and I want to tour the wineries this summer. We want to rent a limo so no one has to drive. Have anyone done this? Do you have any suggestions? I don't even know where to start. I have only recently gotten into wine drinking. Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Wineries

Hmmm...idk about Limo Co.s but I don't think you can't go wrong with Pugliese, Osprey's Dominion, Bedell, and Martha Clara..i've heard of other really good ones, but I don't remember

I would skip Pindar- too common

Re: Wineries

to add to the above - vineyard 48, macari and duckwalk are nice as well..

i did this for my bachelorette party.. we rented a limo(used Royalty) for 8 hrs and gave him the vineyards we had prebooked and we were on our way.. we were able to get to 4 vineyards in 8hrs from queens and have lunch..

We called the vineyards ahead of time to let them know that a large group was going.. just in case we needed to reserve a time slot..

it was a blast!

Re: Wineries

Check out the Long Island Wine Country site, which is sponsored by the LI Wine Council. It's a great starting point to the vineyards and other attractions in the area.

Re: Wineries

I went to a bach/bachalorette party where we did this. I'd say if you plan to do more than two vineyards- or if you are light weights, get a driver. DH and I will not do more than 3 vineyards if he is driving. And he even skips some of the wines or doesnt do a tasting at the third.
