The Huntington Hilton said their shuttle only holds 14 people tho...if you are anything like me, I am thinking there might be like, 60 or so people to transport!!

There is a mini-review on BHB.

Also, I'll be there this Friday night - and I'll take some pics of the chairs.

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

So, I went on Friday night for a tasting and everything was delish. The only thing I was not crazy about was the Seafood Fra Diavlo - it had fake crabmeat in it.
Anyway, the new chairs are really nice. They are gold with off white seats.
They look like this picture, except with off white seats.

ooh thanks!
I still think I am getting the chair covers though.
To whomever is having their ceremony there:

I talked to Victoria about this a while ago, and she mentioned another bride wanting the same thing.

IF by horrible luck, we have to have the ceremony inside, i wanted to have us face the water...not by the fireplace.

In doing so, we need to have room dividers blocking all the tables and chairs that would be set up, and then the people would be facing the water.
I was told she was going to ask the owner if they could maybe purchase the room dividers so i don't have to.

If anyone else is into this idea, please let them know so they will maybe agree!!
Thanks!!!!!

Re: 06 Riviera Brides Thread

Has anyone used Tim's Florist for the centerpeices that come with the package? I went there last week to look at and price options, and was very disappointed in the way I was treated. The lady was a half hour late for the appointment, and didn't bother to call even though she had my cell number. And once she finally did get there, she rushed through everything and acted like I was bothering her when I asked any questions. Not to mention that she wouldn't give me any real prices for any of the upgrades I was asking about... I was really upset by this, and was wondering if anyone else had a similar, or opposite experience with them... thanks ladies!

I actually had an opposite experience- they were really nice to me and gave me a book of all upgraded prices. Then again, I am using them for all of my flowers. Maybe that's why. That still doesn't excuse them treating you badly. I am sorry you had a bad experience.

who did you deal with there? the woman i dealt with never introduced herself, but she was short, sort of stocky, with short brown hair... is this the same person you had? maybe i would have a better experience with a different person...

i wish i was having my wedding at the riviera ... but its a little too small for our crowd but its beautiful. My florist Barbara from Simple Elegance in West Babylon has done a few weddings at The Riviera and always raves about it. Happy planning! Its so romantic there!

When I called Tim's they pretty much made me feel as though I was a bother. I was rushed off the phone after she gave me some prices for 'upgrades', which she said really weren't upgrades, and she didnt know anything about them for some reason. Anyway, I dont know what i'm allowed or not allowed to say on these boards but lets just say i'm going with Burtons. someone reputable and who i know will do a good job.

Anyone know if they extended out the cocktail hour room???? Yay 8 months from TODAY!

10 months for me!!! I'm so excited!!

I'm using Flower Michelle and I'll post pics of my centerpiece soon. I'm using the flowers included for the cocktail hour, so it's one less this to pay for.

i was there on dec. 18th to make a payment, and the cocktail room hadn't been done... not sure if it will be done, according to michelle... it's only a possibility she said

Do any of you know if you can get anything special for your cocktail hour-- asian station, fajita station, etc? I know that they have a pasta station and a clam/oyster bar, but are there other options?

They have the the sushi bar and then a bunch of 'enhancements' for the CH.
