Re: Does anyone get sickened thinking about their FH's bachelor party..
If you feel that uncomfortable, tell him how you feel. If you prefer that he and the boys NOT go to Montreal, you have to make that known.
FH had his bachelor party in November. Was I sickened that night by the thought of him being there? No, I just went out with my BMs and had my own pre-bachelorette party. Did I have issues? Yes but with his best man.
It's a tradition, it's a rite of passage. You'll have your own night, too. But if his friends are the sleazy ones, I wouldn't concentrate on them. You're marrying your FH, he wants to be with you and he won't jeopardize that.

Take it from an old married woman..he wouldn't dare do anything to jeoparize your relationship. I would, however, get him to change the date.
My DH didn't go to a strip joint. (i own the penis)

I'm not worried about FH, more about my brothers. They keep driving me crazy saying all this stupid stuff they are going to do which I know my FH wouldn't go for or has any intrested in doing, but what can you do.

Mine FH isn't having one - he didnt have one his first marriage either, and being that his best man is gay - I'm not too concerned!!!
I think he should be more concerned about MY bachelorette party!!!

No b/c I think he is just going camping (which is what they did for his best friend in July)...
I already told him that I'd be really upset if he did the whole stipper thing...not b/c I care if he's looking at naked women or even getting lap dances...but b/c it demonstrates a complete lack of respect for me and our marraige to come. I also said that if thats the way someone wants to start a marraige with me, then I'm not the right one for them.
I feel so strongly about this!!!
I completely agree! Lack of respect and I would not want to marry someone like that...

All of you gave really good advice and I like the male perspective. I think that I just can not analyze it or make it into a big deal. Who knows if it will even happen... All I can do is say my opinion and that's it.

My FH is going to DR with the boys. I can't do anything but pray that I don't have to go down there and bail any of them out of jail

I couldn't care less if FH goes to strip clubs for his bachelor party. It's none of my business what he does that night. All I know is that I will be at Mantasia or Hunkmania on my bachelorette party and I don't want anyone raining on my parade Whooooooo hooooooooooo!

you are too funny.
For me, I'm not particularly concerned. I have two rules: 1. Can't be the night before the wedding. and 2. If he can't tell me about it (ie, if he couldn't tell me without me getting really pissed, and he knows what that means), then he can't do it. That's the rule in general - as long as he can tell me about it, it's fine with me.
I trust him, and, what's more, I know his friends like me and respect me, and aren't stupid enough to risk my wrath. I also know that he wants a stripper, because he's never had one or really been to a strip club, and he says, (I quote) 'I just want to feel a pair of fake boobs. Not for the sex thing... but just because I'm curious.' And that's fine - he can grab a pair of fake boobs and get it out of his system, and get a lap dance if he wants one, and get that out of his system (because aint no way I'm going to give him one - way too embarrassing). As long as she doesn't put her dirty hands or (potentially diseased) lips anywhere near him, it's fine with me. He's not stupid. I trust him. And he knows I'll make him tell me everything that happened, and he has a very guilty conscience...
You just need to talk to your FH and make sure he knows where your comfort level is. If you trust him enough to marry him, you should be able to trust him with the bachelor party.

More often than not, it is all of the other guys at the bachelor party that partake in questionable activities. The grooms tend not to.
