10 Random things about you

1) I'm a die hard JETS fan and get all decked out in my JETS gear from head to toe every Sunday (Jersey, hat, even green/white shoes), and when they score a TD I jump up and do the J-E-T-S chant.

2) I was in a bad car accident when a year 1/2 ago and I've only drive when I have to now (maybe 5x's since the accident), I'm petrified of other cars merging.

3) My favorite color is Pink.

4) I hate soda, I'll only drink fruit juice (any kind)

5) I'm 3 months pregnant and I cant wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl.

6) I secretly have pictures of my old boyfriends that I hide from my DH so I can show my children one day if they ask me about who I dated when I was younger, I even have old love notes.

7) I was a horrible student in HS and cursed out a teacher one day and got suspended from school. I also spent a semester in morning detention because I never did my History homework.

8) My brother and I were both adopted from Miami, FL - same hospital different mothers.

9) I love decorating my house for every holiday.

10) My mom put my dog to sleep with out telling me so I never got a chance to say good-bye to him

4) I LOVE chinese food!!!

5)I love watching movies at home with my hubby, cuddling up together!!

6) I love holidays!! I go out of my way for everyones Birthday!! I love decorating for anything!!!

7) I love playing Jeopardy wth my husband on Playstation!! I am almost at Ken status, over 1.5 million!!

8) I love to cook! And I love getting new cook books!! At last count I had 37 cook books!!!

9) I love my two little kitties!! Even though they wake me up in the morning!! They have such funny and adorable personalities!!

10) I love taking pictures!! I always get yelled at by friends and family when we go out to places to celebrate stuff because I am like their nerdy aunt with a camera in my hand. I love taking pictures of special things that happen in my life. You never know what is going to happen from one day to the next in life and I love to capture memories of each moment!! I also won a photography contest when I was in high school!!

1) I danced with Anthony Michael Hall at The Underground in the 80's - he said his name was 'Mike'

2) I love pictures & photography. I have tons of photo albums & boxes of pictures. I came in 2nd place in HS in the Kodak Scholastic Photo Competition.

3) I can't wait to have kids but I've never babysat or changed a diaper.

4) I don't drink milk or even like dairy (and I'm not even lactose intolerant!)

5) I took tennis lessons for 10 years until I sprained my ankle at 17.

6) I was SKINNY (100 lbs) until I turned 30!!

7) If I could wear sneakers & sweats every single day, I would be in heaven.

8) I didn't buy my first car until I was 33.

9) I miss WLIR!!! I had wires & hangers - all sorts of contraptions hooked up to the stereo so I could get it in HS (yes, back in the early & mid 80's).

10) I love a good massage.

3. I love junk food--anything crispy--especially Doritoes, potato chips with onion dip, Chex Mix...

4. I adore my evil cat Meow though he attacks FH every chance he gets.

5. I went to boarding school when I was 13.

6. My favorite food is chicken fingers and french fries--I am such a 'kid' eater!

7. I hate seafood and can't stand the smell of it. Have never eaten it and never will, even if FH tries to make me (and he does!).

8. I get sea sick on boats. So I never want to go on a cruise!

9. My cooking specialty is grilled cheese and tater tots--lived on them in college!

Yeah but I don't want to be teased if I tell ya!

LOL

Let me think:
1. Was born 15 years into parents marriage - they almost adopted before they found out mom was pregnant with me
2. Was always a B or C student in H.S. but I graduated on Dean's list in college and grad school
3. My husband is a certified chef (but works in construction)
4. I hate doing the dishes
5. I am a Buffy/Angel diehard fan (never been to a convention though, I stop short of that) and very upset both are not on anymore
6. I have a favorite blanket that I still have but don't use anymore but keep 'just in case'
7. I was in the drama club in H.S.
8. In H.S. I loved Depeche Mode, the Cure, New Order and The Smiths
9. On Sundays I always have to listen to Ceol n' Gael an irish music show on WFUV b/c my mother listened to it for years. It's not a Sunday without it.
10. I suck at making lists!

I thought of more last night
- I love going to Duane Reade, CVS or any other store like that and roaming up and down the cosmetics and hair and soaps aisles finding new stuff to try
- I read mostly historical mysteries
- I almost majored in religion in college (I like the historial part of it)
- I love the comic strip 'For Better or For Worse' and have read it since grammar school.

1 - I love all kinds of music

2 - I havent dried my hair (with a hair dryer) in 15 years

3 - I met Dave Matthews twice!

4 - My favorite food is pizza. I could eat it everyday if I could but I wont!

5 - I LOVE suprises!

6 - I was News Director of my college radio station

8 - I love to do crafts and I could spend hours in Michaels or Rag Shop.

9 - I can read really fast

10 - I have an 8 year old brother who is my reason for living (my dad re-married and my step-mom had no kids). They got pregnant at a bad time in my life and when I found out my life was turned around for the better!

1. Everyone on these boards know that I'm a HUGE Yankee fan. Well further to that, I am a huge baseball fan. It is a dream of mine to go see a game played at every major league ballpark in the country. I've only been to about 4 at this point (not counting the NY Stadiums)

2. I am scared to death of heights, but that doesn't stop me from loving to ride on the biggest and craziest roller coasters.. I love amusement parks!

3. I come across as a tough cookie outwardly, but I'm a total mush inside. I cry at the sappiest stuff!

4. I hate seafood. Even the smell disgusts me. ALL KINDS , even tuna (and no, I'm not allergic)

5. I was painfully shy as a child. It took until I was in 8th grade to begin to come out of my shell a bit (though I still am on the shy side)

6. I don't always love being '30something,' but quite honestly the 30s have been the best years of my life!

7. My dream profession as a kid was to be the first female play-by-play announcer for the Yankees. Mostly because I wanted to travel with the team I still think sometimes I could do a better job than Sterling or Michael Kay

8. I was a total tomboy growing up.

9. I was never a cat person really, but my kitty Mia changed that. I adore her, she is my baby!

10. I hate shopping (Yes -- I am a Woman and I hate to shop!!) LOL

2. I was once on a Broadway stage... got pulled up during a performance of an improv. Broadway show called Fool Moon.

6- When I was growing up I always wanted to be a news anchor person

7- I collect Disney pins- Especailly Chip & Dale ones

8- I'm completely and utterly addicted to the Amazing Race! I've watched every season and I CAN NOT wait for the 6th to start!

9- I am absolutely TERRIBLE at math

10- I prefer salt over sweets.

1. When people look at me they think ditz... but I really am a nerd! I conducted my own science projects for fun while growing up and still do. I own a microscope and telescope to play with in my spare time. I have studied ants, frogs, caterpillars, and spiders. I even made a spider video As a child I was really ahead of other kids my age. I learned how to read at 2 years old. No I am not kidding! I was a nerdy kid. I was suppossed to skip 1st grade but I cried because I didn't want to leave my friends behind.


2. I hate all carbonated drinks, including soda, beer, champagne... The bubbles burn my throat, especially when I drink from a can.

3. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We met at 16 & 17 and have been together for 7 1/2 years.

4. My dog Gizmo is my pride and joy. He is 12 years old and I got him when I was 11 years old. He is the cutest thing in the world and I love him more and more every day! Ray is a little jealous of him though.

5. I take the most pictures of anyone I know. I carry a camera around with me in my pocketbook everywhere I go. Over 1/2 of all my pictures are of Gizmo though.

6. I play the piano. I took lessons in elementary school. My teacher always made me learn classical music so after I quit lessons I went out and bought my first real song sheet music - November Rain. Now I am concentrating on learning Elton John. He is one of my favorite singers/piano players and his songs are really hard!

7. I slept with a stuffed animal for the past 19 years. It is the blue baby carebear. My dad bought him for me and got my sister one when my little brother was born. I just stopped this summer. I don't know why I just grew out of it.

8. I was the class flirt in high school and my mom was too, the same high school but 20 years before. My mom also was highschool sweethearts with my father (just like Ray and I) but the scary thing is we both started dating April 5th My parents are now divorced and my brother, sister, and I have all given up contact with our father.

9. I work 2 jobs. My fulltime job is a cosmetic chemist. I work part time as a waitress. Ray also worked 2 jobs until recently. Because of this we are able to pay for a wedding and house at the ages of 23 & 24. We also both graduated college a semester early. I am very proud of us.

10. Some other odd facts:
I have a green belt in karate.
I am lactose intolerant and have IBS.
I was a cross country runner and lacrosse player in highschool.
I went surfing in Hawaii.
I have curly hair but I always straighten it.
I have 2 tattoos.

ETA: Dmangel reminded me.. I had scarlet fever 7 times

2. I tivo 3 hours of ABC soaps everyday - AMC, OLTL and GH

3. McDonald fries are my weakness

4. I cry when there's something sappy on TV

7. I enjoy watching 7th Heaven (shhh my friends don't know)

8. I'm the oldest of 3 - my brothers are 22 and 17

9. I never took the road test but I have my license. (When I moved to Chicago, I had a DC learner's permit, which only identified it was a LP with the abbreviation on the bottom. I went to the DMV assuming I'd get a LP, took the test, eye exam, picture. When I left I realized it was a driver's license and never said anything - that was 5 yrs ago!)

10. I'm eight weeks pregnant.

More miscellanious stuff

- GREASE is my favorite movie - DH hates to watch it with me bc I sing and dance.
- I love apple and orange juice, but I don't like eating the fruit. Apples bc the skin gets stuck in your teeth and oranges bc your hands smell when you peel them.

1) I LOVE broccoli now, but didn't like it for the first 25 years of my life.
2) I slept with a plastic babydoll named Butterball until I got married a few months ago.
3)I can recognize a fabric by touching it...usually down to the percentages of different fibers.
4) I can do shots of Cuervo but can't stand beer.
5) I can sit Indian style and stand up without uncrossing my legs or holding onto anything.
6) My dad is a musician and played the outdoor rally where Colombo was shot.
7) I can deal with any weather condition except wind. I hate the feeling of being beaten and blown around
8) I match the clothes brands of my outfit (J.Crew top, J. Crew pants or Ann Taylor sweater, Ann Taylor skirt, no cross branding in outfits)
9) I look for pets when I go to people's houses because I like to play with them and sometimes ingnore the people to play with the pet.

10) I like mashed potatoes and corn on a bisquit

This is cute --

1) I work as a Marketing Mgr for a legal publisher, but I hate my job - it is becoming increasingly stressful lately and I can't come on here nearly enough even tho I'm not a newlywed anymore!
2) I love to cook and watch cooking shows - esp Rachel Ray. - my fave foods are Italian and sushi.
3) I've known one of my best friends since I was 5 yrs old.
4) I saved everything from ex-boyfriends too - so that I can show my children and grandchildren someday. Esp since I was married at age 30. (I had a life before DH!)
5) I like to scrapbook. Have completed 2 albums.
6) My favorite holiday is Xmas, then Halloween.
7) I love to travel - most recently to Mexico.
8) DH & I have hosted an annual Halloween party for 4 yrs.
9) I can sit for hours on the beach and I love swimming in the ocean.
10) I was in a sorority in college, went out almost every night and was on the dean's list several times in college and sometimes miss those days!!
