So this morning my sister and I drove into the city to go to the Union Square Farmers Market. I've always wanted to go but never had the chance. So we drive in and we park on my sister's friend's block... we think this is strange no cars are parked on this side but we thought we read the sign so we paid the meter and went. We come back to the car after buying mint for mojitos for tonight and she had a ticket! We read the sign wrong - only commercial vehicles are allowed to park there or something like that. I'm a good sister and we only went into the city because I wanted to so I paid it. So basically, I'm making the most expensive mojitos in the world tonight!!!!

Re: $115 Mint!!!
OMG! Better be a good mojito! Sorry about the ticket!
We're the best at reading the signs wrong in NYC. Chris drove to midtown once to meet me for happy hour and read the parking sign wrong. When we came out of the bar after a few drinks the car was gone. We thought it was stolen til we called the cops who put in touch w/ the tow pound and we were told it was towed from a No Standing Zone.
