I hope everyone is doing well and plans are going smoothly.

Re: 2005 Brides.....

I am leaning towards Leonard's as the hall. I still have to make a phone call to Manor East regarding pricing for winter. I had gone there a few months ago and got pricing for Nov/Dec. Its a pretty place, but a little further out. FMIL wants us to go and check out Astoria Manor, anyone have any experiences with them?

Re: 2005 Brides.....

I dont have any recent expieriences with Astoria Manor- My parents got married there almost 30 years ago. Since then the ownership has changed - I have heard from people that have attended events there that the food is good. Why dont you take a look?

Re: 2005 Brides.....

I think I will, they have a tasting in a few weeks so maybe we will check it out. I am kind of overwhelmed with making a decision on a hall and kind of just want to pick one and get it over with. I cant even imagine how its going to be when I have to deal with booking other vendors. I am not a good event planner. I still havent spoken to the Priest about the date we are looking at; just concerned b/c its a Sunday during Lent and I'm not sure if Catholic Churches perform wedding ceremonies during that time. Theresa,

Just wondering which florist you are choosing - Does Russo's still only let you choose between Stefan's and Pedestals?

Re: 2005 Brides.....

Hi ladies it has been awhile since I wrote on here because I have been crazy looking for halls and deciding a date. Im sorry to say I am no longer a 2005 bride, however I am a December 2004 so not too far from 2005. We decided on Dec 10 at Russos! I love it! Good luck to all

Re: 2005 Brides.....

I have decided on a date: July 16, 2005. I think at John Anthony's, but we are not 100% yet. We oringinally booked at the Riveria, but we can't cut the list. The Riveria went up 25 dollars between 2004 and 2005. I am not paying $115 for the Riveria. With tax and gratuity, it cam out to 148. I am going to a couple more places next week, but I think we will most likely have it at John ANthony's. I need south shore water, so it doesn't leave many choices. Please put me down on the 2005 list. I ma glad to join the club girls!!!
