Thought I would make a thread just for us ... even if we are few and far between! Our 2010 brides will soon start getting married! Anyone going to any of their set ups? Im actually going to one in May if I am not mistaken to see what our venue will look like on our wedding day
Hi all, I just visited De Seversky this afternoon and FELL IN LOVE!!! However no one was there to give us pricing, etc. since there was a wedding about to take place; can anyone give me a price range or tell me if there is a site fee...the place is BEAUTIFUL! we are thinking spring '12! TIA! :)
Can anyone FM me about pricing for the De Seversky center? I've been engaged for almost a year but have not picked a place because I haven't like any ... however I just drove past De Seversky today and it was the only place that made me happy, I called but they are closed for the 4th of July weekend... and I am very anxious :) hehe .. thanks sooo much any information you can give me will be SOSOSO helpful

Lauren, I'm from Alexandria so I feel your pain about coming up to plan. I decided to join your forum as well even though I'm not getting married at de Seversky until 2012. I need all the help with vendors and planning I can get. The only thing I have so far is that we also booked with Melissa. We are having a Mansion Style party. Both my fiance and I are big history and literature buffs. I'm an English teacher and our favorite novel is The Great Gatsby. So we're going for a Great Gatsby 20's style wedding. We booked Code Bleu as our band and we're getting married at St. Rose of Lima church. I saw someone mentioned St. Agnas. I was a Sacred Heart girl so I know plenty of St. Agnas girls and have been to a few weddings there over the years. It's such a beautiful church. I'm in the process now of starting to look at hotels and limos. We have so many out of town guests so we'll need to make sure they're all taken care of. I'm looking at the Four Points Sheraton. They say they have shuttle service to and from de Seversky. They also say if we block off rooms now we can keep the 2010 rates. They're $109 a night now, but jump to $119 for 2011. I'm also looking at Camelot Limos. They have great reviews up here on LI Weddings. Anyone have any insight? Great to meet you all.

I'm one of those OCD planner types...lol. My planner is color coordinated. I just talked to the Four Points today. They said that the shuttle is $650 for four hours including tax and tip. Two hours before the reception to bring guests over and two hours after. The bar is open to 2 am Fri and Sat nights and can be kept open to 4 am for $150 for an after party if you'd like. My matron of honor had us stay there for her wedding and the place was really nice which was why I'm considering it. You can book 15 rooms without any financial obligation and if your guests book those you get the romance package and I think if they book more you get your suite free. I have to double check on that though.

Out of curiosity, I looked at the de Seversky website--which I shoulnd't have done, because the place really looks amazing for a wedding!! My FH graduated from NYIT and years ago we briefly discussed how cool it would be to get married there. I love my RH but I kinda wish I looked into de Seversky too! AHHHHH!

De Seversky is the only place we looked at after we did tons of research but sometimes I wish I had looked more just for the experience and to be extra confident in my choice.
