~2012 Swan Club Thread~

Ok figured I would start this since I noticed alot of others are starting them and I believe there are 4 of us already and I am sure in the next few months there will be more. We can use this to discuss planning and any questions we have.

I am getting married March 2nd in the Garden Room

Yay!!!! I was wondering whether us swannies were going to have a thread as well. Glad you started it.

I will be getting married May 26, 2012 in the Garden Room and I think we're also going to use the pavillion for the ceremony. Not 100% sure yet.
Do you have a theme and or colors?

Have you met with Sandra?? She's in charge of that room and according to Michael she is the spanish Martha Stewart! LOL!!!

We are scheduled to get married in the pavillion but now aiming to get married in the church. Only person Ive dealt w is Vanessa who I booked the room with. I dropped off my 2nd deposit 2 weeks ago and maybe it was sandra but didnt really talk to her. Some lady just came out and said we could walk around lol. I guess in due time we will meet w more people.

Colors are navy blue and white. And we were thinking a lighthouse theme. But i keep seeing girls who have 2 colors not including white and there invites and everything look great like blue and lime green or blue and pink. So we will see. The accents come along way. What about you, colors and themes?

I have been having a hard time with the theme. I wanted something DRAMATIC and FUN!!!! I don't want my wedding to be traditional at all so I still don't know what I'm doing. As for colors, I'm doing hot pink, blue (maybe turquiose) and lime green. I decided to add the green to give it a kick!!! LOL!
I brain storm everyday and it still hasn't come to me yet on how I'm going to pull this off but let's see what happens! LOL!

I'm not from LI at all....LOL!
FH grew up in Rockville Centre and I plan on moving to LI soon not sure where. I'm from Brooklyn and decided that I should have the wedding in LI since that's where I plan on living, also I choose the Swan Club cause I loved the gardens and thought it was really romantic!!!!

Michael has been really great to work with! How has your planning been? Everyday I change my idea about something!!! It's funny cause for all the past years I thought I had my wedding all planned out in my mind and it turns out that I really didn't!!! It's so different when it's your reality rather than a dream but I'm enjoying every moment of it!!!

I feel sad I dont have a BM lol. Maybe when it gets closer? I grew up in Merrick my whole life but last aug moved to Oyster Bay which is sort of near Swan Club. Swan club was the only RH we looked at. It was perfect for us, in our price range. I wish we couldve gotten married in apr or may when we would have beautiful flowers but w FH job we couldnt plus it was more money and we chose to upgrade to platinum pkg. My parents also got married in the same room we are 40 yrs ago this May. So it all worked out =)

oh yaay all 4 of us are now here =) ill be at the showcase w my FMIL. I went to the one in feb but we booked 4 days later. So this time im going to try more food, maybe win something and going to look into In The Mix. Im hoping they are giving the $500 off like they did in feb. Maryrose i know you glbooked w them, what does your package include, you got an awesome price.

the package was the basic single DJ for 4 hours...they had all the other things you can add on, but i just did the basic DJ for now.

they offered 250 off if you made an appt, 500 off if you did it that night. def check it out again!!

I really hope they offer that again bc i will def book. I havent looked anywhere else but we really liked James the guy who was hanging out in the garden room and if i could get him as an mc im sold =)

the only thing that I sorta want was uplighting, but at 100 a light, and the room uses 6, i was in shock at the price.

maybe there will be more prizes to win stuff like this lol

though I thought they only had one showcase a year? I'm excited they have another one...i'm hoping they have one in the summer so my fiancee can finally see where we're getting married. I booked it after he left.
