I'm a little late on joining this and yes I would like to lose weight for the wedding but I also got to the point that I embrace the extra weight. In my mind I worked hard to get to this extra weight and if people don't liek it oh well. Lol.Anyway, for Lent I gave up soda and alcohol and I got to say it was a good thing because before Lent I weighed 212 pounds. As of this morning after doing a double take at the scale L'm down to 201.
I wasn't planning on loosing anything it just happened.
I have a treadmill in my house and i think of it everydday and how I'm going to use it and then I get home and do nothing but I think I will start really trying ot use it and i'm going to keep up with no soda and to alcohol here and there.

First time posting here! So when I bought my first dress in December, I weighed in at 163. As of this week I'm down to 148! So proud of myself, and it was only through dieting. I've just started working out, and I can't wait to melt off some more weight. Not sure if there's any runners on here, but if there are, take a look at the 'Map my Run' app...it's amazing! I just went for a nice run and it spoke over my music after every mile and told my my time and stats. So cool!

That is fantastic!!!! Congrats!
I did a cardio workout on demand after I got home from work and I started doing yoga again. Slowly but surely I'll get where I wanna be!

I was pretty bad over the easter weekend....I really need to get my butt into gear. I refuse to try on dresses until I lose weight I'm currently at 150 ( height is five eight). I'd LOVE to drop ~15 before the wedding but at least 10 before dress shopping. Sigh... Tomorrow is a new day, right??
....as I'm eating a Reese's Egg - fml!

Welcome ladies it is never too late to join. Sometime it is the little changes we make that sometimes help. Myself and Ladygoodman are doing couch 2 5k program to become or get back to running. I have used that app before for long walks or hikes since I am not up to running yet. It is pretty cool. For anyone who is interested I have been following this for about a year.http://shrinkingjeans.net/2013/03/oh-my-thighs-april-monthly-fitness-calendar/
Also I am following Tara Stiles yoga challenge. I am just doing the youtube videos https://www.facebook.com/TaraStilesLiving

So I had a little (to me it was MAJOR) accomplishment. I got myself back in the gym. I was still sore from saturday from my sister kicking my a$$ at the park but was so happy I went. All day I was mentally making excuses to not go but I pushed myself and spent 40 minutes on the treadmill. It may not seem like much but its huge for me to get to the gym. I'm hoping to get there once more this week if not twice. I had to tell you ladies because only you would understand

Here I am! Thanks to everyone who recommended me here! I'm 25, also a lifetime WW member, and lost about 40lbs but since last summer have gained back at a good 15/20 of that. Basically, I love food and despise the gym! My fiancé loves food as well, but he's much more disciplined and is better about the gym. I'd really like to lose about 35lbs for the wedding. I know this sounds crazy, but I already, at 25, feel like its harder to lose weight! I really try sometimes and it just doesn't come off, then I get discouraged, and then I fall of the wagon! Ugh! But I'm really going to try this time! It's almost time to start looking at dresses!

I completely agree!! I am also 25 and noticing that I gain weight much more easily now. I used to be able to put I'm minimal effort to maintain - not anymore!! Grrr.... It's a good thing we will be establishing these habits now as opposed to years from now. Anyway, welcome to the group!

I just noticed this weight loss forum, it's GREAT!!! I love the idea of having support of other brides.I'm a few months away from graduating with a degree in Dietetics, and will hopefully be a Registered Dietitian in about a year or so :) Any questions about what to eat, etc. let me know! I'd love to help in any way I can.
Well, here's my intro...
my name is Stefanie, I'm also a lifetime member at WW. I've lost about 50lbs 5 years ago, and have managed to keep it off. I've been trying to lose another 10, but they won't budge! Looking forward to finally getting them off!

Try losing weight at 30. I wanna bang my head against the wall. It was hard at 27 and now it's Damn near impossible. But my mom lost 90 pounds at 57 so if she can do it so can we
