Woohoo! I start week 9 tonight. Last one and then I'm starting 5k to 10k

I've had soooo much energy the past 2 days, that I was actually excited about tonight's run. I figured I could burn off some energy! My goal tonight was to run 1.75 miles, since my longest run was 1.5 (training for a 5K this fall). Well...I ended up running 3 miles! I feel like I'm superwoman right now :)

I want to get into running, but I think I end up doing too much too fast and then I always feel sick afterwards. For all of you runners, what's the best way to ease into running? Any estimates on how much I should do the first few times out? Thanks!

Couch to 5k. There's an app you can download that directs you. I couldnt run 30 seconds but now nine weeks later im running 30 minutes.

Bout time I give in and join this chat thread lol. I have had a bad battle with my weight for years, and I had just made amends with the size that I am about 2 years back. Then I gained more. And more. And yeahhhh :/So Back on WW for the 500th time. This time with FH. Down 16lbs so far, and I am really needing a push to keep going.
I love all the inspiration and motivation on this board so I've decided I gotta ramp up the exercising thanks to you Ladies!Hopefully I will be able to get down to a comfortable weight, since I refuse to pay money to be photographed at this current weight lol.
In other news, stupid FH cut out like 1 snack a day and dropped 25lbs already. Men. Ugh

Although I'm doing doing the 5K plan, I've heard great things about it. I would try starting with that. I would also invent in running shoes - like go get fitted for ones. They're really worth the $$!

Whooo go ladygoodman! I just did another sessionof couch 2 5k week 3 feeling awesoms right now.I definately recommend couch 2 5k I'm with ladygoodman I couldn't run 30 seconds now im running 3 mins straight! Definetly go to a running shoe company. There is one i sayville they put you on a machine that tells you where you need the most foot support.
Mrspy you goy try to not think of it as a diet, try to find your positivity in it.Becoming healthy, feeling better, improved self of steem. If you try to change your way of thinking I think you might find weight loss easier and less fustrating.

I've been such a slacker. I went up a couple of pounds but decided I had to snap out of it! Packed my lunch and weighed everything and calculated the points plus value before I even got to work today!

Thanks for the tip! I dl an app that's essentially the same thing as couch to 5k, but it's supposed to be 3x per week for 8 weeks. I just did the first workout today...the first few intervals I was like 'ok I got this' and by the end I was dreading the 60s run LOL...I got so out of shape. I hope I can handle the increases!

Good luck. Just remember if you aren't ready for next step you can always do a week again. Its ok if you take longer than 8 weeks.

Yeah I have repeated extra sessions of a weeks workout until I felt comfortable. I repeated week 2 for like 2 weeks dreading that I wouldn't be able to run 3 mins straight and I totally can now.

I would like to take off the 50 pounds I gained back. Wish I kept them off the first time but I didn't. I lost the weight once. I can do it again.

I'd really like to lose 10 and tone up. I just finished the first week of couch to 5k so hopefully I can keep my diet on track and progress through the weeks!
