Chaz I am the same way I drool over food if someone eats it in front of me but I feel so much better eating clean. I hate food hangovers when I do stray for a treat here and there. I'm a vegetarian so its tons of veggies, fruit, rice, beans, lentils, 1 only allow myself to have pasta once a week if that. I am going in for surgery tomorrow to get my tonsils removed :( so it will be an all liquid diet for a while. Not the best way to lose weight but I am sure it will happen. Not looking forward to it cause I won't be able to work out for a while so I am not happy about that. Though I am really confused and not sure which scale to believe. My scale at home says I weigh 150.6 one doctor's office scale on weds. weighted me at 154 and the one yesterday weighed me in at 147. The one yesterday seemed to have actually take her time to let the scale settle unlike the nurse who did my weight the other day just quickly did it and never let the scale settle. My scale is digital and you can step off and on and tells you different weights. I think I have to see if my digital is off by putting a weight on it and see if it's accurate. Cause if I really do weigh 147 whoohoo for me then I lost 3 and am at the 15lb mark.

I honestly just believe the one at my house! I started tracking my weight on my home scale, so that's what I've continued to use. You're still losing the same amount, just a different starting point. :)
Plus I try to consider how I'm weighing myself in different situations. I weigh myself in the morning when I first wake up, and then after my run and shower, so I know the fluctuations in the morning. If I weigh myself at the gym, it's evening and after a workout, so my weight will absolutely be different than what it was at home.
Congrats on your loss and good luck with your surgery! Look at the liquid diet as a nice cleanse, haha. :)

Going to try again today.
You can dooo it! lol
Try to stay busy, I know that always helps me lol.
When I am bored, I EAT or THINK about eating which in turn leads to me eat! When I actually have down time from work, I need something else to do beside that lol

I only try to look at my scale at home for reference. Who knows how accurate it is but I know i can consistently monitor how much i am losing (or gaining..) on it!

I know! I used to smoke (bad Jackie
) so that helped me fill downtime...But I'm 6 months 'clean' lol so now I just stalk these boards when I get down time..hahah I'm on the LIWeddings diet
!Also sugar free candy or gum can help. Sometimes I drink flavored seltzer to hold me over before a meal. Not a great solution..just something.

I was a smoker and definitely helped but that was oh gosh years ago. I find it hard fighting those cravings. Sugar free candy sounds appealing! Gonna get some of that. Thanks!

LADIES!! I really don't follow this thread because I have such a difficult time with weight loss. About three weeks ago, I decided to hop back on the wagon for the third time in my life.I know the whole thing about healthy eating--I lost 70 friggin pounds a few years back but gained it back within a year or two because I HATE going to the gym and love to eat.
Well, I saw an article about hula hooping for weight loss and decided to get one. I've been hooping for about half an hour every day, sometimes only 15 minutes. In conjunction with a good diet (80% diet, 20% fitness!), I have lost 10 pounds in just under 3 weeks.
Seriously, if you guys hate the gym as much as I do, get a hoop. It's insanely fun. Look up videos on youtube of hoopers. The things you can wind up doing with hoop dancing is amazing, and totally worth the benefits you get from it!
Just figured I'd jump on this thread and let you girls know!
Edited to add: At my current weight, which I am/am not ashamed to admit (189), I burn 100 calories for just 10 minutes of hooping. I sweat like a beast and my heart rate gets up. Just wanted to add this so it doesn't seem too good to be true! When you work your ability up, hooping while doing squats really helps you feel the burn!

Just when I think I have my dieting/exercise regiment figured out, I get thrown a curve ball. I was going to the gym 3 or 4x per week for the past few weeks. This is the first week in awhile I couldn't get there b/c of my school and work schedule. When I went to the gym and was being strict with my diet, the scale wasn't really moving. This week, I started slipping back into my old eating habits (Mother's Day and then stress) and didn't go to the gym and lost 1.6 pounds! I'm not complaining about the weight loss, but I'm sure that pound will come back.Has anyone ever seen a nutritionist or dietian? I feel like I know what foods to eat, but never know the correct amounts or how much to snack on. So I either over do it or I'm always hungry!

ugh ladies I completely fell off the wagon. I need some motivation big time. I started counting my calories again yesterday since that seemed to work well the last time, problem was that I wasn't being diligent enough with taking vitamins and I totally burned out and felt tired ALL THE TIME.Does anyone live in the Kings Park/Smithtown area? I am in desperate need for some motivation and I think a gym or a walking buddy could really help. I belong to LA Fitness and I go to Simplicity Yoga Studio in Kings Park.

I stayed on track for a full week and really cracked down after my massive complaining about gaining 10-15 lbs! I worked out almost every day and ate so healthy- i lost 5.8 lbs this week and it feels sooo good!!!! :)I started counting my calories again and working out every day almost (one day i was sick)- and I have been changing it up between running/ hot yoga etc.
I also found this 30 day squat/ crunch challenge I've been doing :)
Only 18 lbs until my goal weight for the wedding and definitely the motivation I need to keep going!!!! :)

Weighed myself today. Down 1 lb after 3 days of staying on track with WW. That was some good motivation to keep going.

Go mrsmango and cj on you weight loss awesome!Mrspy do the 6 weeks to tone arms it is not hard targets the hard parts and works pretty well. Cj I figured if I havent lost 20lbs by my 1 yr I will see a nutrtionist I feel the same way sometimes but remember the body hits platues and you have to switch diet and exercise up so it doesn't get adjusted.
So I have a bit of a dilema I just had surgery tonsilectomy so diet is goint to be liquids and soft foods. But I am not allowed to work out for 2 weeks I have my engagment shoot in 4 weeks and really want to lose some more weight but I don't know if it will happen. I might lose weight from not eating a lot but probably go back up once I resume eating more solid normal diet. Im wondering if I can sneak minimal exersise but cant strain anything or lift anything.
