I'm kind of late joining this post and this is probably gonna be a long one..My name is Simone, I'm 24 years old, and I have been struggling with my weight and dieting since I was 11. My entire family is overweight (my sister had a gastric bypass in '06, weighing in at 289 only 5 feet 2 inches) and my weight has stressed me out for too long. I have tried everything- videos, weight watchers, thyroid checks, counting calories... I would love to say I've taken the weight off and gained it back as sad as that sounds, but I've never taken it off... Period. I like to give most attempts at least 3 months-and nothing. I reached my highest weight a few months ago.
I started herbalife in early December and its a pretty easy program for me to follow even though most would say its difficult- it's vitamins and 'enhances' and two shakes a day which has made my life easier- I'm a busy hairdresser working 49 hours a week and a vegetarian, and with my busyness and weight issues not having to make choices anymore has Been such a relief! I recently became a 'distributor' too so I can order my own supply (Nd anyone else who becomes inspired!).
I also go to the gym several times a week and I've also taken up running with FH (who lost 26 lbs with WW) on top of a gym routine...
So ladies, I'm a BM in a wedding in June and my wedding is 21 months away. IDEALLY I would like to lose 60-70 lbs and I'm already down a few lbs, but my weight goes up so rapidly that I'm crossing my fingers. Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you too :) lets keep each other motivated!!!! SFTW!

I've been going to the gym 3x a week and I haven't weighed myself but I just feel better knowing that I'm getting off the couch and doing something. I look at pictures of my dress and tell myself to keep going!
great job! my goal is to get my butt moving. almost every night next week & think week I have had venue appointments. once this is over i will be making a very hard effort to get to the gym!

Weighed in this morning and I'm down 2.2!! One more week and I'm free lifetime.Side note, I told my leader I was going to reward myself with a bagel, and he replied with 'you know how many points a NY bagel is? 11'
Can you believe that?! Egg whites on a wrap for now on.

Simonenarissa welcome. Just stick with it that is the key. Our bodies will hit a flat line cause it catches on to what we are doing. The body natural tries to hold on to fat as a survial mechanism. So just stick with it and remember slow weight loss is permanent weight loss. MrsMango venue hunting does take up a lot of time don't worry once you find your venue you will have some free time to get back at it. Melhunny we all get side tracked just stick with it. Congrats ladyreeree! That's awesome! Omg there is like a days worth of calories in a NY bagel and cream cheese its crazy. I love using myfitnesspal.com its free to keep me in check and track of my daily calories. Even when you think your eating healthy you can be suprised how many calories you can consume in a day. Its definitely good to keep track. I work for a few fitness magazines and all the research always says people who right it down and are honest about it lose more weight.

So with my kidney issues my doctor has recommended I drink 4 Liters of water a day. This was about 2 weeks ago. At first I was in shock and never thought I could do that! However, I have been sticking to it to try and preserve my good kidney! And let me tell you- it has a good kidney effect and I am down 3 lbs! :) water works!

I lost 75 pounds 4 years ago and attribute most of my immediate weight loss to water. It's AMAZING how much it helps in weight loss. I drink at least 3 liters a day. It also helps if you're one of those people who eats out of boredom. I'll take a huge gulp of water-give myself a few minutes to think about how crappy I'll feel if I 'bored eat' and I'm good!

Ugh. I have fallen off the wagon. Of course I sabotage my weight loss because I have been at a standstill for two weeks. FH & I aren't losing as fast as we hoped. I think maybe I need to count my calories. That worked for me more so than WW is. I HAVE to start my workout dvd. I think come Monday a whole new me is going to emerge. My wedding is 1 year away and I NEED, NEED, NEED to lose this weight. I have to formulate a SOLID plan/schedule.

Stay with weight watchers. it doesnt come off as fast as you may want but it works!!! once you get the hang of it & into routine I PROMISE IT WORKS! track track track.

I did my weigh in and I gained a lb. I guess between a friends bachelorette party, birthday party, and baby shower. Even trying to be good wasn't enough. Just have to try harder this week.
