Hi ladies. Sorry for all of the posts. I've been MIA from the boards so it was great catching up and see all the progress everyone was making! I finished week 4 of C25K! I've been doing the program on a treadmill at the gym. I went running outside for the first time today and it kicked my @$$!! Does anyone else find running outside to be more tiring than running on a treadmill or is it all in my head?
I can't run on a treadmill, actually! I get too bored. Where did you run outside? I've found running on a track helps me because it's more cushioned. Concrete kicks me pretty hard!

Hang in there I have had many many weeks were I didn't lose or just lost .2 or even gained so just hang in there. I tweeked around my diet a lot and it is easier for me in the summer cause produce is more readily available. I am eating very light. Lots of water, salads, smoothies. Just stick with it your body probably just hit a plateau it is normal. Try tweeking your diet or workout routine a bit.
This!!

I've been avoiding this thread like the plague. I fell off, and then fell off again. lol My mini vacation didn't help either..and now I'm up 4 lbs. Back on it this week hard core..but I need to be more accountable for my own actions so that's why I'm sharing my gain, and not just my losses.Starting Weight in Jan 20132 225lbs
2/14/13 221 lbs
2/28/13 217 lbs
3/20/13 210 lbs
5/6/13 205 lbs
5/22/13 204.9lbs
6/10/13 209lbs
Back to tracking, making sure I get my water in, and working out. Lets dooo it ladies! lol

I hateee running on a treadmill! I have no motivation. I'd rather just put up the incline and walk fast.
I run a half or full mile around my town towards the school (depending how much time I have), then I run another mile on the track. I actually get worse pains in my shins when I'm running on the track, but it could just be that I didn't feel it on the concrete and it's hitting home when I'm on the cushioning.

Its not in your head. Even with an incline a treadnill can't replicate the conditions of the actual outside. I always run easier on the treadmill than outside.

LOL I'm the same..the treadmill & I have a love/hate relationship!! If my shins don't hurt I can run on an incline but if it hurts then I usually do the elliptical. Unless its a beautiful day then I like jogging on the track by my house

Went out for another run this morning with my sister. It makes life so much easier having someone to exercise with. She really pushes me when if I was buy myself I would just quit. My last run I was only able to run 1.17 miles straight & today i did 1.42 straight! Hoping to work out 3 more days this week! Lets keep it up ladies!

I've been sort of avoiding this thread but I must say you guys are super supportive of each other which is nice to see. I've had a difficult time with my weight since college and more so now that I have some issues with my back, peroneal nerve damage and neuropathy because of inflammation on my spine. I'm trying to stay motivated about how I can manage my weight without hurting myself... which has been frustrating (and painful haha). Since I have a 'foot drop' I tend to fall a lot, which is adorable. I was in an ankle boot for 6 weeks last summer after tearing 2 tendons in my ankle because I fell just walking! I'm sure I'll figure it out. I just have to keep trying. One thing at a time. Keep up the good work ladies!!!

Thanks for all the feedback about treadmill vs. outside running! I thought I was just psyching myself out again. I'm going to finish the program on the treadmill and then start running outside. (Hopefully!)

Thanks for the encouragement! I hope you find what works for you! I'm sure you Dr. can help..ask him (or her) about swimming..I know is very low impact so my gut reaction is that's gotta be a pain free work out...mind you I'm not a DR so def talk to him (or her). Good luck!!

went out again this morning! did a mile and a quarter with 3 sets of bleachers and about a mile walk. this morning was really tough for me. i was literally on the verge of tears. i just need to make this a habit again & start being stricter with my points. i know I can do this, even though i hate every second of exercising. My sister & I plan to get rollerblades this week so we change it up bit.

Good for you! My legs are still sore so I woke up early and just walked 2 miles this morning, I noticed I have large bruises down my thighs...I haven't bumped into anything! I've started weight training again so I don't know if it's from that? Any ladies with any insight I'd really appreciate it. (Also, I haven't been eating much meat, just a small portion of chicken maybe 3 times a week)
I love the rollerblading idea. I haven't done it in years! I went to buy rollerblades last year with FH but the coordination wasn't there. I'd love to break out the bike but I feel like I'd get bored riding around my town in the morning.
