Bridejackson--I don't have a vitamix, but I have a Blendtec and I believe it's similar. It makes the best smoothies, literally pulverizing any fruit or veggie into creamy deliciousness. When I'm not too lazy, I make a green smoothie for breakfast and it holds me over until lunch.Jaime--For me, Atkins got harder each time I went back to it. So, finally I gave up and calorie counted again. And you are not 'old' at all lol.
Roseann--Those are incredible results! You and your FH must be working your butts off! Way to go!!
Kristin--I'm with you on the new sneakers. Going to look for a new pair this weekend. :)

FH and I have been to the gym EVERY DAY for the past week and a half and we feel AMAZING!! I've lost 16 lbs total, he has lost like 4, but it has only been 1 1/2 weeks for him. Stay on top of it ladies! So worth it!!
That is fantastic!! When did you start your weight loss journey & what have you been doing? I feel like I have tried everything and am not having great success. Atkins seems to be working but it is taking a lot slower than the last time I did it. Dang old age! haha
I started on April 28 - so it's almost 2 months. I've been eating based on a 1,200 calorie diet (from myfitnesspal app - it's amazing!) I started with just hooping, but that wasn't cutting it. It's also taking me a lot longer than it did in the past! I drink almost 1 gallon of water per day as well. Try to use myfitnesspal--I lost 70 lbs in the past using it!

WOW! That is fabulous!! FH and I were counting our calories(with that app) and exercising and we weren't having great results. I mean, we did come off every now and again and probably didn't give it enough time but that is inspiring. Hoping something gives, need to get these 20 pounds off STAT

It totally sucks driving there, but once you're there and done with the workout it feels SO GOOD!! Having a heart rate monitor and seeing what I'm really burning is extra motivation to keep on going!

Just keep going - it WILL come off. And guys annoyingly lose it so much faster. FH lost 4 lbs over night. It has taken me like 2 weeks to lose 4 lbs(which is totally normal).
When you don't feel like going to the gym, go anyway. You'll feel productive, accomplished and have more of a reason for the weight to come off. And seriously water! With lemon, even better- you'll pee A LOT.
I don't know about you, but I follow a lot of girls on weightloss journeys on instagram. It's so inspirational to see girls who were my weight and have lost 30-50 lbs plus and who look amazing. I decided to start transforming my instagram into a weight loss journey type. I even got ballsy enough to post my starting weight, current weight, and goal weight in my 'about me' section.
I always told myself I didn't have time to get to the gym, but jeez, I've been there literally EVERY day since last Saturday. I wish the results were coming faster, but I know I'll slowly see them. Even if it takes until next November :)

This is amazing! Congrats on your weight loss and your motivation! This week was my only week off during the summer. I was so determined to go everyday but I think I'll only end up getting there 4x. I have to figure out my new schedule. This is great motivation! Keep it up!

Amazing!! I am 197 now and would kill be be 180 again! I think I am just so nervous and stressed about it because I have 6 months which isn't that much time but FH and I have been sticking with it and I just found all these new recipes and healthier food options for our low carb diet. We also purchased Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies. We hate exercising, hate the gym and we figured who doesn't love RS?! This will at least get us moving and it will be fun so we won't do it for 2 days and quit because we are having a good time while sweating/exercising. Hoping this all pays off because I am running out of time.

197 is what I started at, and right now I am at 181. It has taken almost 2 months, but it's worth it. I know all of this hard work will pay off in the end. Dragging my *** to the gym for 45 minutes isn't fun until we leave. I just wish I was a guy! I would've lost 30 lbs by now!!

I'm down a pound! I'm PMSing, so I'm going to have to wait a little while for a more accurate number. I hate the number fluctuations, plus I feel like I'm converting to muscle more now so the number isn't really changing. I feel phenomenal though!

Way to go Roseann! Keep it up girl! I think I might be on the verge of getting sick I have a tickle in the back of my throat (had my tonsils removed a month ago so sore throat feels way different) I pretty much have a literally sore throat since no tonsils are inflamed. So I slept in this morning to get some extra sleep instead of getting up and running. I have been sticking with my diet though but I really need to get a handle on sticking with constant working out.

Yuck, I got sick right when I started back at the gym. I'm actually convinced I got sick from the nasty germs there. I took a z-pack and two days in decided I had to go back.
The diet is the easier part for me too, working out is torture!

I got my tonsils taken out to try to cut down me getting sick I am starting to think I went through all that for nothing lol. The gym used to gross me out I carried purrel and practically bathed in it before and after lol. I used to go to planet fitness so they aren't necessarily the cleanest gyms. haha oh good it is not just me that I have no problem with the diet (minus that time of the month, then don't come near me if you have chocolate lol) Working out it takes me forever and every once of motivation to keep up with it. I have 30 more to lose before I am happy with my weight you would think that and looking good would be enough lol.

Ugh..number fluctuations really discourage me. I used to do an hour cardio at the gym and now I do 1/2 hour cardio and 1/2 hour weights. My diet hasn't really changed, but I gained 2 pounds since I really started with the weights. I'm pretty sure it's muscle but I still hate seeing the # go up!

I do a half hour on the treadmill or elliptical and another half hour doing weights for arms, legs, or abs (I rotate them). I find the weights helps tighten things up.
