I think a naked pic of myself right now will be motivation.
THIS was such good motivation for me! I'm still not in the best shape of my life, but every month I update my 'Before & After' on my phone, and the results are amazing. Baby steps! And it feels sooo good to see the change that you sometimes can't see in the mirror.
Good luck & don't get discouraged!

Thanks, guys. I hope I can stick with this. I think a naked pic of myself right now will be motivation. Too bad we have FH's kids every other weekend, dont' need them finding that pic on the fridge.
I made the mistake of telling FH (who will now be known as Groomzilla) about what I want to do about my weight, and he's all gung ho to do this with me. Why do I feel discouraged and sabotaged already? I feel that if I do this by myself and not tell anyone, then I don't need anyone judging me. I don't mean you guys - I need this motivation. I mean people I see every day.
Why do I already feel defeated?
Don't feel defeated. In the beginning it's difficult, but becomes a habit just like everything else. Be happy you have FH to support you. Joe has been coming to the gym with me nearly every day, we are holding each other accountable, and it's working. I'm losing more than I did before he was on board with me!
People are going to always want to take you down, but you're a bride, and you want to feel beautiful on your day! Don't let anyone get you down! And if they don't support you...eff em

So, I tried Week One Day One of C25K last night at the gym. It began with a brisk 5 minute walk on the treadmill and that felt good. The first few 60 second intervals of running were fine. I felt a little weird 'jogging' on the treadmill because I only had the machine set for 4.5mph and felt like everyone somehow would know that I suck ans should be running at 10mph at least lol. And I was sweating and red-faced about 5 minutes into the jogging part, so I was self-conscious about that part too.
The jogging itself was easier than attempting to run outside. I definitely noticed a difference. However, I only made it through 20 of the 30 minute program before I felt like I was going to fall down. Instead of beating myself up, I decided that 20 minutes was a good first attempt for someone at my weight and fitness level (although the little Jillian Michaels voice in my head was screaming at me to push on and finish it) and walked the remaining 10 minutes. Even though my legs felt like jelly and my hip hurt a little (I have bursitis in my hip like a 90 yr old lady), I felt pretty awesome for trying. So, hurrah for the small victories lol.
As far as the diet goes, I've been under my calories on MFP every day this week and have been drinking water like it's going out of style. Since Monday, I'm down 3 lbs--not amazing, but I'll take it. Thanks to everyone for all the support! Have a great weekend!!

Way to go on running 20 mins straight you so got c25k in the bag. Simba I had the same day you did lol last one to leave the office stress through the roof and I was like in no mood for anything. Even as I sat down on the couch I was like I should workout. Didn't do it. I told myself this week you are getting back to it I was doing so well and then just crashing stop after my surgery. Don't worry MsMango just don't over do it to an excess and get right back on it the next day that is what I do and so far I haven't really gained anything. Depending on the week I go up .6 but it might be dehydration and what not.

So I sabotaged myself on the weekend and was feeling pretty down about it. But today, I'm back on the treadmill and, this time, I finished the whole 30 minutes of day one! I feel like I'm gonna drop and I needed my inhaler at one pint, but I finished it and that feels pretty fantastic. Back on the horse! Lol. Happy Monday everyone!

Been struggling since the weekend with my eating. I'm officially back on track today. I am also getting my a$$ back to the gym tonight with my sister. I want to start working on my arms, chest, and back for my dress. I haven't been to the gym in MONTHS! I have been running pretty avidly this last few weeks but I have been getting these bad pains in the back of my calf on both legs. I think I may need new sneakers so that is on my list of things to do today too. I'm hoping that's it and not anything worse. Keep up the good work ladies!

Keep us posted on how you do. I like juicing but need something more than liquid usually throughout the day. I do have a vitamix on my registry I am hoping we get cause those things are amazing for juicing. My poor cheap little juicer gets the job done but the cleaning and to get it to juice is a process lol. Go mrsmango you can do this just stay focused on your goal. that is my plan today do some arm exercises and abs since it is my day off from running.

That is fantastic!! When did you start your weight loss journey & what have you been doing? I feel like I have tried everything and am not having great success. Atkins seems to be working but it is taking a lot slower than the last time I did it. Dang old age! haha
