I'm meeting with a personal trainer tonight to see if that will help motivate me to workout more/harder. I just started following this blog and did this arm workout last night and my arms are so sore today, but in a good way.http://losing-every-extra-pound.tumblr.com/post/24482567752/sexy-arms-in-6-weeks-if-youre-just-starting-out
I am only down about 6 lbs total and I've been on and off my diet for a long time. Need to get serious now that I found a dress and know that my fat arms and non-existent collar bone are going to be on full display! Lol
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hey ladies, So I got back from vacation Sunday feeling really bloated and fat. Definitely deviated from the diet. Got sick sunday and still battling once again another cold so took me off my workout routine. I am afraid to get on the scale to see how much I gained during vacay. Once this cold goes away I am back on it. The diet kicked back into effect on Sunday though when we got home.
A few bad meals won't kill you. Don't stress it! Just keep swimmingggg.(I wish there was a fish smiley so this made sense)
haha one of my fav Disney movies. Oh I know and surprisingly for being on vacation I wasn't terrible I could of been much worse. I stuck to veggie burgers, and no apps at most of the places we ate. We went to one buffet when in AC and I had a huge salad to fill me up before actually looking at the food. We didn't get dessert. We did drink though which is something I usually don't besides for a glass of wine here and there or a beer. So I think it was that and the fact that there was food that I ate that I usually don't. And the only exercise I got was walking up and down the board walk in AC and standing for 3 hours at the Bon Jovi concert. lol And not that I am sick I am just so weak feeling. And I was doing good before I left lol. I just really need this cold to go away so I can get back at it with working out again.

I can finally post something positive on this board! Ha! I started with a trainer about 5 months ago and was really unhappy with the lack of results and how much money I was spending.About 3 weeks ago I started with a new trainer, my friend's husband, and I meet with him once a week, and run/work out 3 additional days on my own following his schedule. With that and eating right I've lost 8 lbs since I started! Woohoo!

8 lbs in 3 weeks is amazing! Good for you! If you don't mind me asking, where is your new trainer located? Is he expensive? I met with a trainer for the first time ever last night and there was no way I could work his pricing into my budget. But, I felt like I got more from my workout, so I don't want to rule out seeing a trainer altogether.

Awesome congrats! I would love to know your trainers information as well. I have been toying with the idea. I figured if I didn't get to the half way mark by the 1 yr out I would hire a trainer. I got 2 months to lose 10lbs. Seems easy right well I have lost only 16lbs in 10 months so very hard for me to lose weight lol. I lose gain back lose again gain it back, hit a wall don't lose at all lol.

Way to go Ro and Lisa! I only lost 1 lb this weekend, but am happy that I made it to the gym and for a few long walks with my dog. Because I am great at self-sabotage, I also broke down last night and had some boxed mac & cheese and london broil that I'd marinated in a honey-ginger-teriyaki blend. I've been trying to reduce sodium and that was way too much salt for me. My hands are so swollen today!

It was good--especially the mac & cheese since I used real butter and regular milk because it was meant for FH lol. To make up for my cheating, I made some kale salad that I'll be eating for lunch for the next 3 days and vegan veggie soup for dinners. I've gotta be good since we're taking my brother to Uncle Jack's for steaks on Thursday night...and I don't plan to eat salad at a steakhouse. :)

Kristin--I totally feel you with the arm soreness. I remember when we painted our house. I got stuck with doing the ceilings and my arms got some workout haha. You are doing awesome with the gym!

Way to go Ro! Keep it up girl! I wish I could say the same. I wasn't the greatest this weekend since we had my friends bday party in the city on sat I planned on not drinking but the club we went to had a 2 drink min for the tables so I ended up drinking (vodka seltzer though all clear and low salt, sugar, cals for cocktail) and had wine last night since we opened a bottle last weekend and there was a glass left. Food wise I was good and we did a few long walks. Still working on getting over this cold so can't breath that great yet for running. I am going to attempt it tonight when I go home.

We had an office birthday today and, of course, I am in charge of getting the cake. I ended up buying two--one was yellow cake with canoli cream and the other was brownie on the bottom, then a layer of cheesecake in the middle with a layer of fudge on top. Why do I torture myself like this? Lol. The next coworker with a b'day is getting apple pie--since it's just about the only baked good I don't like! HahaWelcome New Vendors
