I had to skip running this weekend and change my route on Monday, they were filming a new TV show at my HS where I run. I'm down .2 pounds...I don't think I'm going to be able to hit 130, I'm starting to think it might be unrealistic/too low. We'll see! I started looking for bridal shower dresses yesterday and I fit into a size 4...I was a size 14 this time last year. I was literally in shock, I went home and tried on my 'goal dresses' that haven't fit me since 2007, and they fit!

I was joking with FH that I look like one of those 'Skipped Leg Day' memes.![]()

HOLY MOLY, you look amazing! What have you been doing to lose the weight? Also, how tall are you? My goal weight is also 130 - currently 150.

Thank you so much! I'm definitely feeling more confident after dress shopping yesterday.
I'm 5'6 and a half or 5'7, the doctors tell me something different every time I go. I think I look taller than I am.
I run 4-5 mornings a week for 2 miles. I eat clean, only eat out about once a month and it's usually somewhere Portuguese with clean food. The mornings I don't run I try to do 5 reps each of abs & arms. I'm trying to avoid having to go to the gym!
ETA: I also don't drink anything but green tea or water. I drink ALOT of water. I literally pee 100 times a day, it's awful, but I'm never bloated anymore. I also gave up coffee last December, and no alcohol.

I always hear people say they eat clean but I'm still confused with what it exactly means. I've tried looking it up but I get so many different variations of it. Can I be a pest and ask what it means?

Ah, we are pretty close! I'm 5'8 and a half. Man I need some of your motivation - what you do is amazing! I'm trying to only drink water and tea also but I don't think I'd be able to give up alcohol - that's probably a big reason why I even gained the weight!

I know what you mean! My version of 'eating clean' is specific to my tastes and preference, so please try to customize a diet to what you like or eat!
My version of eating clean is organic, gluten-free, and natural. I try to read the ingredients of everything I buy, I like to buy things that don't have a lot of ingredients, therefore, more natural.
For example...
Tinkyada Brown Rice Pasta Ingredients:
Brown Rice, Rice Bran and Water
This pasta is gluten free, wheat free, low cholesterol, low fat, low saturated fat, low sodium, and whole grain.
If you compare that to say,
Barilla Veggie Pasta Ingredients:
Semolina (Wheat), Durum Flour, Tomato Puree, Carrot Puree (Carrot, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Water), Niacin, Iron (Ferrous Sulfate), Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid.
I don't know what half of that stuff is, so I won't buy it.
Other than that, I like to stick to raw food, which would be vegetables or fruit. For protein, I stick to steamed or baked chicken breast. Again, I try to buy organic, but I like to buy big bags of frozen chicken breasts at Target, and bake them, they're delicious.

Chaz you look incredible!! Thanks for posting your diet/workout regiment. I'm starting to dread the gym so I'm relieved to see looking fabulous is possible without all of those fancy weight machines!

Chaz do you eat dairy? Curious are you following a clean diet similar to Paleo?

I really don't eat dairy by choice. I don't like milk, I'm not a fan of cheese. Occasionally I'll melt some fat free shredded cheddar on my chicken or veggies.
I've browsed at the Paleo diet, but I'm such a picky eater it would be hard for me to follow any specific diet. The only vegetables I eat are broccoli, cauliflower, corn, and carrots. The only meat I eat is chicken. The only carbs I induldge in are brown rice, or brown rice pasta. I eat bread maybe once a month at a restaurant, (I only eat Portuguese cornbread...SO GOOD), I make sandwiches on whole wheat, fat-free tortillas.
It's hard being such a picky eater, I always want to buy interesting cookbooks but I don't eat anything in the recipes! I'm very simple!
ETA: I just googled.
Centered on commonly available modern foods, the contemporary 'Paleolithic diet' consists mainly of fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit, fungi, roots, and nuts, and excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar, and processed oils.
I guess I'm not far off from it!

Everyone is doing so well on here!! I've officially lost 5 lbs.. Technically I still have at least 50 more to go.. I've been on this track since 6/24 and this Sunday marks 8 weeks which means ill take progress pictures and measurements..I guess I hold true to 'inches come off before weight' bc that's what happened to me.. Lost 5 inches (overall) in my first 4 weeks, can't wait till Sunday!

I brought my gym clothes with me to work and will be going during lunch! I get an hour for lunch everyday and I might as well start heading to the gym 2 blocks away - can squeeze in a quick 30-minute workout, shower, and head back to the office. Much better than shopping during my lunch which is what I have been doing (and spending way too much money)!

It was so nice out when I got home last night I went up to the hs and did week 3 of c25k. It felt good to take my run outside I haven't done a run outside since May or June. I know my problems and my weak points which is consistency and when at social functions resisting falling off the wagon (which I always get right back on). I'm feeling recharged with determination again so hopefully I can get back to where I was 143 and continue to go down from there.

woo hoo! Keep up the good work!
Consistency is my problem too. I've been getting bored with running so I'm trying out other cardio machines in the gym. We got to stick with it!

I feel like a cat I get distracted and sidetrack so easily. My plan tonight is to go home and run and not let anyone sidetrack me. I let cooking homemade pizza distract me last Friday and resulted in not working out lol. We can do this we just need to stay focused.
