2014 Brides 'Official Weight Loss & Keep It Off' Thread

Original post by Soon2BeMrsMango

Hi Ladies. I know some of us talked about having an official weight loss thread, so here it is. I think we should start by introducing ourselves, how much we want to lose, how we plan to do it, etc.

I guess I'll start.

I'm Kristin, 25. I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime member, I lost 30 lbs last year. I've gained about 10 back & want to get them off ASAP before I gain it all back like I have in the past. The winter is the hardest time for me to stay on track. My true issue with weight loss is exercise. I HATE IT!! I can never get into it & that is my goal this year. To lose the weight & get toned. My overall goal is to lose 10 lbs & feel comfortable in a bikini. I haven't worn one since high school.

I think each week we should post our weight loss/gain & what we are doing to stay active.

We can do this ladies with the support of each other!

I weighed myself this morning. I've officially lost all the weight I had gained from vacation & I am actually down .2 since my weigh in before vacation. Only 9 lbs until my ideal wedding weight!

Boy I've fallen off so bad and I gained back 10 lbs of my hard earned weight loss.
But I'm not making anymore excuses. I started back up, I'm happy to report I've lost 7 of those lbs so only 3 more to get back on track, and I'm hoping for at least 20 more on top of that by My Wedding. With the exception of Brunch this weekend, I am sticking to it. I needed this kick start and now I hope to keep the ball rolling.

(Except at Brunch Sunday, I'm totally living it up then, lol so Salads for lunch all week for me hahah)

So I finally got on the scales something I have been avoiding since I knew I gained from vacation. Amazing how 3 days away and not going overboard can still manage a gain. So I gained another 3 lbs back resulting in gaining all the weight I lost in May so I feel like I am back at square 1. I am actually highly contemplating a personal trainer cause I am so beyond frustrated at working at this for over a year now and I have only lost a total of 12lbs when I need to lose 40lb more. :(

How is your diet? Maybe you've converted some of your weight to muscle. Do you feel better? Try to go a little bit without looking at the scale - sometimes your body can tell you more than the number on the scale.

Officially down 20 pounds since April! My goal is another 20 and I have a year to manage it! Plus I had my first workout with a personal trained this morning, it was pretty awesome!

Kristen--I know how you feel. I had lost a total of 7 lbs and, after 2 bad days last week, I gained 5 lbs back. But, aside from the brunch G2G, I am back on the horse again too. And looking into a personal trainer because I just don't feel like I am getting a proper workout on my own. We can dot it--maybe we just need someone to help kick our a$$es! :)

Kristin and Jackie--you girls are doing so great--very inspiring!

I need someone to drag me out of bed in the morning to force me to workout lol. do so good for a while then something happens I fall off the wagon and I gain and then it's a new battle to re-lose the weight again.

I got back on track with my diet after the vacation. Back to smoothies for breakfast or eggs, salads, soups, or left over dinner for lunch. Dinner something healthy usually loaded with veggies little to no starch rice or sweet potatos or red potatoes would be my starch. Once every few weeks I allow pasta. Yesterday was bad though cause fh and I were out all day so had to eat out for everything. Definitely not a muscle gain cause I feel sluggish and my pants I was able to fit into are now tight :(

Omg stop that sounds delicious!
Try gluten-free pasta, I bought some by Tinkyada I think it's called and it's delicious. I eat it like 3 nights a week. I use Vincent's sauce to give it some flavor - so yummy!

I had to skip running this weekend and change my route on Monday, they were filming a new TV show at my HS where I run. I'm down .2 pounds...I don't think I'm going to be able to hit 130, I'm starting to think it might be unrealistic/too low. We'll see! I started looking for bridal shower dresses yesterday and I fit into a size 4...I was a size 14 this time last year. I was literally in shock, I went home and tried on my 'goal dresses' that haven't fit me since 2007, and they fit!

I was joking with FH that I look like one of those 'Skipped Leg Day' memes.
