I just hit 20 lbs lost!! So excited! I'm happy because i told kleinfeld i would lose 30lbs when i ordered my dress in Oct and I'm two-thirds done with that goal!! I was joking with FH that I want to give the alterations dept a run for their money and hope for close to 45lbs. I'm almost at the 6 month mark, I think I have this in the bag!! WOO HOO!!![]()
Whoooo that's awesome!!!! Congrats! haha definitely if it won't effect your cap on alterations go for it use it as your motivation. You got this!
I lost a total of 2lbs this past week so I'm almost down 4lbs since Jan 1st. Just 2.2 more till I lose all the holiday weight. I have 13lbs to go before I hit my first big goal :). I also finally measured myself and lose 2 inches of my stomach and .5 in arms, legs, hips and such.

Thank you!! And congrats! That's awesome! It feels good to dump the holiday weight. Taking measurements is so smart too! There have been so many days the scale hasnt budged but the inches have come off! In november before I started getting healthy i measured EVERYWHERE (neck, bust, waist, abdomen, arms, tighs, calves) and I'm down about 33 inches in total. It's crazy to think those inches were here just 2 months ago!

Today I found a dress for either the shower or the rehearsal dinner (i'm leaning more towards the rehearsal because it's a little more formal-looking)AND it was a size 2 :) It fit perfectly but I still have a little pouch that I wanna get rid of (or wear spanx?) I have always been a 6/8 so I am so happy to fit in 2 sizes smaller than my regular size!
I'm dying to try on my wedding dress again in March, because I ordered a 10. I can't wait for that moment when the dress is too big and has to be taken in! It's gonna feel awesome

So I've been doing insanity for 33 days now. I feel myself tightening up but I have not lost ONE pound!! I'm down 43 lbs since April 28, and now my weight loss is at a SERIOUS standstill. Killlll me.

It's because your doing insanity! your probably gaining tons of muscle which is AWESOME :) Don't look at the scale with that workout, look more at body fat and inches

OK, I have been avoiding this thread for too long! Sadly, I've had a gym membership for months and have just not been using it until recently! I'm on day 10 of working out (which sounds a little sad, but is a big deal for me!) I have such a hard time staying motivated but seeing the number of days until the wedding ticking down made me realize I had to start!DAY 10!

When I was on my last serious diet (I lost over 30 lbs, i've since gained about 10 back
) I had a 9 week plateau! Do not quit! It totally sucks but I promise one day you will wake up and there will be a nice weight loss.

Okay, first week of WW came and went... I was down 4.4 pounds! And FH who is doing it right alongside me lost 4.2 pounds! That made me really happy, because I never believe it.. I always say well I am wearing lighter clothes, ate a lighter lunch, etc. But if we both lost about the same, then it must be legit! And I always have a mini celebration when I beat FH...we all know how much easier it is for men to lose weight!
Now I am struggling with the 'out of town' on a diet issue.. I am home on LI because my sister had her first son! Everyone is on cloud 9, but that means many catered dinners, late dinners, gifts in the form of chocolate, etc. I have been doing well, but it is hard not being in charge of my own meals.

Any weight watchers doing the simple start? I have done it for a week now and I definitely feel healthier, but I feel like I am eating too much! Just finished a big bowl of whole wheat pasta...too good to be true?
i never looked into what it is ... they sent me an email, but i feel like the pointsplus is working for me so i'm sticking with that!
So I did simple start for about a week, attended a WW meeting in the middle of that week and got the full explanation. I ended up switching to tracking again. IMO- Simple start is great if what you need is a reboot to the quality of foods you eat. For me, I eat healthy 90% of the time. I did WW a few years ago and that stuck with me. It is really the portions for me, so I needed to get back to tracking. I also felt confined-- I found myself saying 'I dont think that is on the program' to FH too much...and if you ask me, that is NOT what weight watchers is about! WW is a lifestyle, where you can go to restaurants and family get togethers. I shouldn't be saying no to many things.

That is a lot of weight you should be really proud! I would definitely suggest measuring yourself the scale might not be budging but you may be losing inches. Also your body might be in a plateau you might have to change up your workout and diet to shock your body to help it lose again. Don't give up keep going!

i tried on the sample of my wedding gown again over the weekend when i went with my BMs to get their dresses. back in september, it had to be strapped onto me because it was so small. when i tried it on again, not only did it fit, but it was big on me!!!i'm so excited because the dress looks completely different on me now that i'm smaller and i can't wait to continue my weightloss journey. i'm going to KILL it walking down the aisle!
people aren't going to recognize me!i was struggling with some dress regret because of my body issues, but now with this progress, i KNOW i made the right decision!
