2014 Brides 'Official Weight Loss & Keep It Off' Thread

Original post by Soon2BeMrsMango

Hi Ladies. I know some of us talked about having an official weight loss thread, so here it is. I think we should start by introducing ourselves, how much we want to lose, how we plan to do it, etc.

I guess I'll start.

I'm Kristin, 25. I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime member, I lost 30 lbs last year. I've gained about 10 back & want to get them off ASAP before I gain it all back like I have in the past. The winter is the hardest time for me to stay on track. My true issue with weight loss is exercise. I HATE IT!! I can never get into it & that is my goal this year. To lose the weight & get toned. My overall goal is to lose 10 lbs & feel comfortable in a bikini. I haven't worn one since high school.

I think each week we should post our weight loss/gain & what we are doing to stay active.

We can do this ladies with the support of each other!

i lost 2.8lbs this week. i couldn't believe it! i go through these random periods where i lose a lot, and in between them i only lose less than a pound each week for a few weeks. whatever, i'll take it!

this brings me down to 142.8, which is 24.2lbs lost total! i'm so close to 25lbs!

i can't believe how different my wedding gown is looking on me. and how much more confident i feel in it! i wish i could post the before and after pictures i took!

That's AWESOME! Big congrats to you on that! You're going to make your goal, which I can only imagine feeling rewarding! Keep it up, you're almost there! That gives me such motivation :)

thank you!! i've been so motivated by this board!

So I measured myself and I went down 1.3in in my belly, .5 on my natural waist, underbust, and thighs. So I decided to try on a pair of my smaller sized jeans my lucky brand jeans size 6 fits :) I still have a muffin top when I sit but they fit again which is awesome! I tried on my goal jeans which are a size 2 and i can get them all the way up to the bottom of my butt. My butt and hips are still a little big to get them over it. By the summer I want my *** back in those jeans lol. On the other plus size I am really glad I kept all my old bras cause I bought a ton some I barely wore before I was too big for them. So now i fun cute practically brand new bras I fit back into :)

awesome!!

Thats great congratulations. Fitting into the 'skinny jeans' is a great motivator.

Hi, I'm Kait. I would love to lose around. 15- 20lbs before my wedding in June . After seeing my cousin lose over 10 inches and 20 lbs in her firsts 30 days , I have decided this will get me to my goal weight loss. I am getting started on this superfood nutritional cleanse system and. I am looking for a buddy who is will to hold me accountable and do it with me. Anyone up for making their goal weight before their wedding? Currently, I am five days in, 6 lbs down and feeling really good.

So weighed myself this morning down another .4lbs didn't get to measure myself yet but I was kind of shocked cause I had some cheats this week. I had my period, dealing with bm drama and dress drama, stress at work I fell off the clean eating wagon a bit not horrible but definitely at somethings I was like yeah I shouldn't of ate that. I also missed some workouts due to the craziness so I am really surprised I lost...not complaining just really surprised. I was prepared to get on the scale and tell me I gained back 3lbs. So I am back on track eating wise and back to my workouts tonight. Keep going ladies even when you mess up it's not the end of the world. We are human things happen, just remember to not give up, pick yourself back up and keep going.

I have actually been so good lately. Since January 2nd I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week and eating so much better. In total I've lost 5 pounds and need another 18 pounds to get to my goal weight. Reading everyones progress is really inspiring - keep up the awesome work ladies!!

I seriously thought this was going to be a gain week for me for sure but it wasn't but I know that I didn't do great and felt guilty. I probably could of lost more if I worked out like I usually do and ate a bit better. But it's okay I'm aware of my mess up and just got to keep going from here. You maybe surprised like I was and lose this week! Keep it up girl.

End of the month progress report

Officially down 1.6 lbs for the month. Which is 4.2 lbs total since 1/2/14. I was kind of wishing for that full 2 lbs down this month but i'll take it. I got to the gym 16 of 28 days this month so I was happy with that! I can definitely see changes in my body & clothes and people seem to be noticing the difference so I guess its working.(I should have started with measurements but oh well) I have 34 days until my boudoir shoot so its time to kick my @ss this month and really watch everything i put in my mouth. I'd love to drop another 3 lbs before the shoot, but I will settle for 2. My first dress fitting is april 5th. agh! my goal is to get to the gym 6 days a week this month!

how are you ladies doing?

alright so my dress fitting is tomorrow and I'm sooooooooooo nervous!!!!

last time I checked in on here, I was:
Weight: 133
Waist: 27 inches :)
BMI: 21.6

and I'm exactly the same lol... I'm finding it hard to move away from the 133-135 range, but I'm 5'6/5'7ish and I know it'll be really hard to go any lower than this weight...

When I bought my dress about a year ago, I was around 150, and was between the sample size and one size bigger, so the store ordered me the bigger size. Then, I went back to the store about 6 months ago to try on veils and headpieces, and the sample fit loosely on me (i lost maybe like 7 or 8 lbs at that point)..so I am definitely excited to see how much has to get taken in!

I'll post some before and after pics with my dress tomorrow night or sunday :)

I'm stuck at 18 lbs. I need to change it up a bit and start working out, eating clean got me to those first 18 lbs, but now I need to kick it into high gear! I love coming on here and reading everyone's progress. It's definitely motivating.
