<3 <3 <3 New Leonard's of Greatneck Thread <3 <3 <3

Original post by OctoberPrincess2006

Hello, I just saw a Leonard's of Greatneck Thread but it has a lot of older posts on it (not that I mind, I love to read any post on Leonard's ) I know someone else had a more recent post with up to date posted wedding dates but I can't seem to find it, so.... I decided to start a new one. I will start it off

well i have a long way to go but i got almost got everything down, the only thing i need is Officiants , a dj, and limos
does anyone know of an Officiants uthat will marry us at leonards for a good price

We are also getting married at Leonard's.
Try Hilda Gieco. I highly reccomend her. She is very sweet and accomodating. Her price is around $400. I didn't know officiants were so expensive. She does non-denominational, religous, non-religous, and muticultural weddings. She is also bilingual which was important to us because of our older family members who only speak Spanish. We are really happy we chose her. She comes highly reccomended by other couples too.

I also sent you an FM

Assuming that you want a DJ that knows and plays Spanish music, -salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton. I suggest Elegancia. They were very professional. They may seem a little pricey. I don’t know what your budget is. They start around 1000 for a dj/mc for the cocktail hour and reception- this includes basic lighting. It gets more expensive when you add things on. You meet with Jose, the owner and he really talks with you about what you want and to how he works to see if there is a match and then he takes you to the back room. This room is crazy. He shows you this spectacular light show, fog machine and a sample wedding on a super big screen.- I love that room. The only extra thing we added was a timbale player because it sounded so good on the movie. They are extremely professional. I really liked that about them. He wasn’t pushy at all with us.

Im going to Tahiti for our HM.. I cant wait.
I will definately post pictures. I picked the first free ugly cake from the book. I said no Pillars/columns and all that dove/swan crap. Just give me round stacked, as simple as can be.

Went to meet Ian today to discuss our plans.....he was so nice, not pushy at all. He simply explained all the available upgrades to us.

As far as the cake, I picked #13 with the Swans. To me, it just isn't worth spending tons of extra money on a cake that is visible for 5 minutes and then cut up and eaten. As long as my guests find it tasty, I don't really care. Honestly, I really thought it was fine. I don't care for the swans and may ask if they can leave them off but the design itself is very pretty and I don't like fondant cakes (taste wise).

So everything seems to be in place and I am totally at ease with Ian handling everything for us. Now I just have to try and be patient.
