so just yesterday i was thinking that we attended this wedding in march...and still no thank you...how could a LIW bride do such a thing??? well, finally it came yesterday...but still...3 months?? ladies, that's just too long. oh, and my name was left off the envelope AGAIN. unbelievable. we live together, we're getting married in 2 weeks and i wrote the check out!!!!! sorry...but that just bugs me.
edited for those complaining:
the thank you was NOT a photo nor did it include one. so, for a non-photo thank you, 3 months is a bit long. she doesn't have that much going on in her life and her job is as boring as mine.

I attended a wedding in mid-March, and have not received a thank you yet.

What difference does it make as long as they send out a formal thank you. . .now not getting a thank you card at all, that is something to beef about.

I am a march bride also and I still have not received my thank you's from my photographer .
with my photographer we had to give our thank you pics in with the pics we want in our album so when we have to pick them which is hard then both sets our parents have to pick them it does take time .

I think it was pretty inconsiderate of the person not to include your name on the card but I don't think 3 months is a long time for a thank you card, at least for a wedding gift - considering that couples take a honeymoon, may be moving after the wedding and have all those related issues to deal with, and of course, actually have to go back to work and catch up on everything they neglected while wedding planning

Re: 3 months later, we got a thank you!
Let me clarify my real point as it may not be clear....the 3 months isn't my REAL issue...I found it funny that I was wondering, 'Hey, did XXXX send a thank you? I don't think so.' and then open the mailbox [the same day] to find it....what upsets me is her constant refusal to include my name [invitation, placecard and now the thank you] when we email one another, she sees my FH everyday (she's his secretary), we [fh and i] live together and are getting married in 2 weeks at a wedding she is attending AND i wrote out the card and check to her...that was/is my point. Not the length of time...but considering the time frame, I think she should've included my name.

If your wedding is 2 weeks away, I say that you start leaving her name off of all the things she left yours off of. Or, better yet, don't just leave her name off, put a big blank line. That would be funny

i've threatened that for people who won't give up their girlfriend's names....FILs don't like that joke....but sometimes i think to myself...how great would it be to just do that though?

ok, cause that makes sense. i got mine out in two months flat. i just sent out a couple of vendor ones yesterday and today i thought of sending a few photos to family friends who weren't invited but came to the church (i have extras, otherwise, i probably wouldn't).
3 months is not a long time. so, to say that it was 'SO' long and then she didn't have your name on it doesn't make the case. wait till you have to choose a million photos to pick a GOOD picture!
i'd just say, 'you got a thank you and bam! your name wasn't on it.'

Better than the blank, go with INSERT NAME HERE, as in:
'Mr. John Smith and INSERT NAME HERE'

Re: 3 months later, we got a thank you!
I got married in February and the last of my thank you's went out two weeks ago!! I didn't get my proofs back until 5 weeks after my wedding and then it took another 3 to get the thank you notes back from Duet. I also was told you have a year to send them out, because people 'technically' have a year to give a gift as well!
As for the name thing, she didn't have it at all? Not on the inside? I had a couple of people who don't live with their SO's, but I made sure that I included that persons name in the note I wrote!! That is really immature.

Re: 3 months later, we got a thank you!
WE went to a wedding last June and just got a thank you in April....we went to another wedding in September and got a thank you in May. I think 3-6 months is fine....but 8 or 9 months, come on. As a guest it really showed me how much those people cared about our being at the wedding and the gift we gave them. Mind you one of the couples was FH's best friend - and he was in the wedding. The TY didn't even mention a thank you to him for being in the wedding - just a generic thank you for your gift. TACKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Lauren - 3 months isn't that long and Brides have up to a year to send thank you's out. I do agree it was tacky that they didn't put your name on it, but it also depends on the photographer getting the pict back to the couple.
