46 days to the wedding and im in a cast and crutches

I swear there has been a black cloud over me

today i was running to catch a train and this kid cut me off and i mid-run i tried not to bump into the kid and my whole foot went under me and i couldnt even walk, i sat on right where i was for 15-20 mins before i could even motivate and basically limped. BUt it started swelling up badly and my foot became so numb and i was in so much pain even just sitting and doing nothing. Fh took me to the doc and i sprained it so bad that i tore a muscle throughout my whole foot. I cant even move my foot, i can barely wiggle my toes, and cant walk without the crutches. I just used them now and its so hard to adjust to.

But this F*IN *****, the doc said it will take 6-8 weeks to fully heal but should be ok by the wedding. What F*IN luck is this and i have so much to do and i was ordered to stay in bed

ok now i have to run, it took me forever to go to the bathroom and i had to check email quick, so maybe ill be back on later tonight since i have nothing else to do

ugh that S*cks!

So sorry!

Listen to the doctor, sweetie. It's going to heal a lot better and a lot faster if you stay off your leg and just rest.

OMG! I am so so so sorry about this! Rest rest rest your little foot and ice ice ice it! Or maybe you cannot ice it because of the cast?

Can you go to work?

I feel confident that you will be better in 46 days! I know you will!

Whatever you do stay off that foot.
FH is a foot doc and i know by breaking my own foot and tearing the tendons and ligaments also, you need to not walk on it at all unless you are in that big boot contraption. I thought I was healing and i screwed it all up again. ITs such a PIA.. Feel better.

You know what, nobody F*IN helped me when it happened

but on my way home alot of ppl saw me obviously and so many ppl were stopping me to ask if i need help, it was hurting so much that my eyes were teary so i think they felt bad lol, people were offering to carry me too. Which in NYC you dont take those offers but you can tell these ppl were being sincere. I didnt let them carry me lol but fh was outside the station waiting me, so he saw how bad i was walking and had to come carry me.

yeah i had to use the bathroom for over half an hour but i couldnt do it, even just using the crutches to go to the bathroom is hard at first and takes alot of energy. The bathroom is right by my bedroom so thats why i decided to stay on here a few minutes to get the energy to get up again and go into the LR lol. Yeah i am so afraid of making it worse and want to heal for the wedding so i am staying off of it. I am taking off of work, and they might not like it but i have no choice.

can you work from home? seriously, try to do that as much as possible (if you can). I was so physically nauseous from pain that the day after i sprained it i thought i was going to throw up when i put weight on it.... i literally stayed in bed with my laptop and worked all day.

well the doctor said i HAVE to stay off my foot now for a couple of days and stay in bed. Even with crutches i cant go to work. I take 3 trains and its a long commute, the crutches help me stay off my foot but not easy at all and theres way too many stairs and escalators on my commute, its not worth it.

my mom was saying my dad can drive me to kleinfelds and leave me off in front while he parks, but ill see. Using the crutches to go a few feet isn't too bad but im still a bit worried

so not trying to make you feel worse - but when i went the doc said a lot of times a sprain is worse than a break.... not sure if he meant in terms of pain or healing, but other people have told me that too. You're going to get really tired being on crutches but after a while you'll get used to them.


lol dont worry, FH kept telling me that, he said a sprain can be worse and take longer to heal. This is when he convinced me it was broken lol but even after they said a sprain he said sorry babe sprains can be worse.

I am! DH and I just got back from Florida
Going to Cabo on Sunday and then San Fran and Vegas in May!

i'm so sorry this happened!!! if u keep weight off it, it will heal much faster. Atleast you dont need surgery! I hope u feel better!
