Hello hello!!! I'm in a pretty peppy mood today bc it's technically Friday for me. Tomorrow I get to go to a Brooklyn public school to volunteer at for the day yay!!
Okay today's question is semi-related to a dilemma that I have gone back and forth with for awhile. I wasn't going to post it to not bore you guys anymore but then I noticed it was one of the questions that I made up awhile ago in case this moment ever came haha and I'm really just curious.....
What made you choose your wedding date? Was it because of month significance, date you liked, someone else's anniversary, just a play on numbers, etc..
I have always wanted the first weekend in October, ever since I was about 11. When I saw that for 2010 the Saturday was 10/2/10 I was ecstatic bc I'm obsessed with the number 2 lol. However, as many of you already know, JT had that date already booked when we looked there over 2 years in advance. So sadly we took the Friday instead, but the date still looks pretty cool and I'm slowly trying to get over the dream date haha.

We actually went back and forth between a bunch of dates. I orginally wanted an October or November wedding. But our BM offered us an amazingly fabulous price for July so we went for it. And I love the number 17..cuz 7 is my fav. number so its works. I'm so happy I'm egtting married in the summer since I'm a teacher.

well we originally wanted April 10 bc that is our dating anniversary and it was a saturday night.
once we decided to move the wedding to a Friday night, we still wanted April but figured we would do it later in the month so it hopefully be a little warmer/more trees in bloom. So we went with the last friday of the month...the 30th

FH really wanted May because it was his birthday month. I knew I wanted a warm month (either May or June). Since we have a lot of OOT guests, we figured that the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend would be perfect for those guests who have to travel!

10/10 is the day my parents got married and I wanted to get married the same day as they did. The year was actually an accident...we didnt realize our date was 10/10/10 until we left the deposit on the hall!!! And the best part, the next day is a government holiday so everyone will have off from work that monday!!

Its funny that 10/10 was the first date we picked...and ended up deciding on July. At least we didnt end up with it or we couldnt go to each other's weddings!

i wanted the summer but its fh's busy season and we wouldnt be able to go on honeymoon right away... buzzkill!!
so i always think november is really pretty, and fh's bday is on the 6th, and his name day (greek thing) is ont he 8th, so now he'll have something going on on the 6th 7th and 8th so hopefully he'll never forget it!

Jenna I am going to kick you for still stressing this! LOL, I love 10/1/10... honestly looks way more cool then 10/2/10...
We picked a time of year, late August early September and whatever worked with JT. We were flexible and kinda just said yea 8/27/10 sounds good... Honestly there was no speical significance... think thats bad?

well, we knew we didnt want summer for a number of reasons... 1. it is pricier, 2. FH hates sweating in the hot summer, and 3. i HATE bugs like mosquitos and bees b/c im allergic, so i was afraid i might get bit/stung in the summer and ruin all our pictures!!)
So that left us with fall or spring. Fall 09 was too soon and Fall '10 seemed too far.
We were originally thinking of March, but then realized it is during Lent and sometimes there can be church restrictions. So we decided to do it soon after Easter. Easter is the first wknd in April.
We were leaning towards either the 17th or 24th. When I told my mom, she got really happy because the 24th was her parents (now deceased) anniversary, so she thought that would be extra special. i was excited too!!!
we thought we might need to switch it to the 25th because of sunday vs. saturday rates...but things worked out and we have the 24th!! im excited!
august is our anniversary now, so that will be the only weird thing..changing months that we celebrate. lol

we really wanted columbus day weekend but my best friend since im little will be on her honeymoon....i HATE the heat so that left spring!!!!

we were flexible with our date, but we wanted summer. and westbury manor said they only had 2 dates left for next summer so we picked from there.

I knew i wanted the fall.. sept or oct. Pref not Nov since my bday is in november and it's my b-day month. (yes i said month)
So i went into work and the DJ company said, 'this is the weekend we are all free' so thats how i choose it lol. I picked the 17th cuz it was cheaper lol.
Guess i didn't have a huge say lol

Well I always knew I wanted a late spring/summer/early fall wedding. I just knew I wanted warm weather. We got engaged right before Christmas, so we were originally trying to get a date in September or early October of this year. But there were NO Saturday nights available at the halls we looked at. I knew that I did NOT want a winter wedding and risk cold weather and/or snow, so we pushed it back to 2010. Since we were going into 2010 at this point, we basically had unlimited options for the spring/summer. Not much had been booked yet since we started looking in January of this year. We would've done May, but May is hard for us b/c it's Mother's Day AND FH's birthday in that month. So we picked the first Saturday in June

With FH's racing/work shedules we only had a window of Jan-March for the wedding, so originally I wanted NYE but it was going to be too expensive because most halls have big parties that night. So I picked the 2nd because its my favorite Aunt's wedding date (she will be married 22 years that day) and also her husband will be walking me down the aisle, so it will be very special to be honoring their date and incorporating it to make it ours

i actually wanted June the last week since i work in a school and wanted to make it convenient for my friends and family most of my family are teachers!! but seriously we fell in love with our rh and the prices was just unbelievably expensive like saturday night lol! so!! actually we our BM helped us figured out our month! and it turned out to be that its a very significant month because april 17 is our anniversary!! and 2 days before our wedding its fh's bday! i couldn't be happier choosing this month and it wasn't off peak either!! its a peak month! and love the season its my favorite!!!!

Well we didn't really have a specific date in mind, we were kind of limited to what we could choose because my FH is already part of the bridal party of another wedding in 2010 in June, so June was out completely. We originally went with May at the first RH I booked and I was completely in love with the date we picked. When we canceled the first RH, we tried to get the same date at DeSeversky and they were already booked We originally wanted to stay in May (mainly because we didn't want to wait any longer!!) and since we couldn't do June, July was our next option.
So now the reason we chose July 10 was because FH's sister got married on that day 6 years ago, so it will be special!

I love warm weather, and always thought that I would be getting married in the spring / summer. My FH is a teacher, so it worked out perfectly. We narrowed it down to July, and we knew that we wanted to have a Saturday night wedding – we ended up with the 24th because that’s when the RH and Church had available – and actually 24 is one of my lucky numbers!!

We orginally said Fall 2009, then realized FH will still be taking classes so that meant no honeymoon til December. So then we wanted 12/19/09, but my dad is in retial and flipped out. He is the director for toys r us and he would basically be sleeping through our wedding since its his busiest season. We felt bad so we moved it to 1/9/10.
We knew we wanted cool weather and we love winter so it works.
