A little upset right now and need you opionion

So i contacted duet because now i really want e pics - i tried getting them for nothing, knew it was a long shot

well if we want them we have to pay $200 I just wish i really wanted them when we booked because i would have had them throw them in

anyway we added an extra hour and I wasn't going to have the photogs or videographer stay for the last hour because i figured at that point they really weren't needed anymore. I want them their at 1 during the day to get us gettign ready and stuff and we have them for 10 hours? do you think i should pay to have them stay or it really isn't necessary.... thanks

i dont think they need to stay till the very end, youre usually giving everyone their favors and saying goodbye to everyone at that point anyway, they take a billion photos throughout the reception so i think youre good

That stinks! I heard that you MUST do all of your negotiating at the meeting, and then after that they will not budge

I actually called them to see if I could trade in my e-pics for something better. They offered me like one extra page in my album. I was like that is soooo not worth it, so I am keeping the e-pic shoot.

I would just ask someone you know who is a good photographer to do an engagement shoot.

eh i dont think u need to pay for extra hours. you'll most likely have enough photos without the extra hour.

My photog isn't leaving until we do, she said she always stays till the bitter end and she gets some of her best shots during that time (like of me and FH, BP, etc)

jcpenney has a photo studio and has coupons online that you can get a free engagement shoot. who cares if its a studio shot? its still a professional photo of you two. and if its free, why not try it?

FH and i were thinking of doing this before we even booked photog, but never got around to it.

we may still do it at some point. freeee is good. if you dont like the results, then you can re-contact duet if you really feel like you neeed better ones.

Pics are VERY importaint to us so we are having our photog (whoever that will be lol) stay until the end.

If you check weddingbee under classified you can find plenty of photographers that will do epics for free to build their portfolio I would look into that.

I think I'm going to have the unpopular opinion here, but I think it's important to have the extra hour. We asked all of the photogs we met about that and one of them said 'If you're paying for the extra hour, you think it's important, so I'll be there.' I think you can get a lot of good stuff at the end of the night--action shots, the last dance, goodbye hugs etc.

I would go on craigslist and see if you can find a student looking to build their portfolio. They will usually do it for a lot less, and that way you can have both.
