A little upset with posts.

I thought the point of this board was to help eachother? I think it is extremely rude and inconsiderate for some to bash venues/vendors the way I have read recently. I think it is sufficient to simply state why you don't like a particular vendor. I don't think there is a need to be rude or nasty. To state that a venue (that a lot of brides on here have booked) is 'low end' or 'a wedding mill' is rude and definitely not appreciated.

I, personally, would never bash any venue/vendor on here out of the respect for others that may have booked it. I would just SIMPLY state if I liked the venue or not. I think opinions can easily go from being helpful to being rude. JMO

I please ask for posters to be a little more considerate with their posts. Please consider how you would feel if you read nasty posts about your own venue. This site should be helpful not hurtful. Thanks for reading.

ahhhh i know what youre talking about and i saw it and wanted to say something but i kept my mouth shut this time bc sometims i say it too often. I remember reading that post and thinking 'ugh i hope no CHCC brides read this, they will be so hurt'

dont listen, and sorry you had to hear that when it comes down to it, somebody can have something negative to say about any RH there is. NO RH is without faults, or not somebodies taste, we all are different.

I appreciate your input. Thank you. As far as venting...I have to say Most of the time brides only understand other brides. Perhaps we can all put a mad emote-con on our thread subjects if we are going to say something that might not be pleasurable to some. From there it's a choice if you want to open the thread and read it. I have no problems with brides posting their experiences whether it be bad or good. But I agree that is might be hurtful to call some vendors 'low-end'. Everyone has a wedding they can afford. Big or small, a wedding is beautiful when love is involved! JMO

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was out of line. I am not going to let it bother me, I just don't want any other bride to feel the way I did when I read that post. This site should be fun and helpful!!

yeah, its the way things are worded. Its one thing to say 'oh it wasnt what we were looking for' or maybe just not for us. But then to say its low end is bad. I dont think ppl have to pretend to like something but just common courtesy maybe. I mean hey we all have our opinions, and i def am opinionated lol but just have to watch how things areworded.

ITA...i'm not getting married at the place that was being talked about but if i was i would be offended by the way people were talking about it. i dont blame you girls for being hurt. there is a TASTEFUL way of saying things without hurting other's feelings. you wouldn't want those things said about your own hall even if they were true. i know a lot of people have bashed my hall and it hurts but i ignore it. it's all about your own experience and mine has been nothing but wonderful! so cheer up girls, you will have a beautiful wedding no matter what!

To make you feel better... search it through Brides Review and read from actual brides that have had thier wedding there. I've never heard a bad review before today... so try not to let it bother you.

i completely agree...
Better Words should have been chosen. I have seen a lot of times that the brides that are young of age tend to write things that might not be wise to say. I am not saying all brides but what I have seen. It would definitely hurt me If i had read something distasteful about my FARM wedding.

i think this would be the best idea--because as hurt as i could be if someone started saying bad things about my rh, i also looked here to see if there were bad things before i booked--because i wanted to know not just the good things, but the problems as well--i even called someone i knew before i put my deposit down and specifically asked what problems they had when they had their reception

People need to back off of their harshness. I mean everyone has the RH that they love and will cherish and some people have nothing but bad to say. You are better off brushing it off. I mean someone said to me the other daythat the hairstyle I picked out for the wedding looked like Alice from the Brady Bunch..come on!

I totally agree. I think that it's fine to express a concern about a vendor or RH--that is what this site is for. But you could say: I don't love the food there, I prefer the other venue, instead of degrading a venue that LOTS of girls are using. I don't think anyone wants all of the posts to be sunshine and roses and great things, but concerns and criticism can be constructive.
