A question for everyone

My co worker just asked me how long after getting married would i like to have a baby?

So i told her we plan on trying right after she was shocked telling me to wait whats the rush bla bla

Why do people have to tell you what to do can't they just say oh that's nice

So this has me thinking how long after are all of you going to wait?

We will probably start trying maybe a year after the wedding. We don't want to have children immediately, but we also don't want to wait too long as I'd like to be done having kids by my early 30's.

Probably about 2-3 years. FH is 7 years older than me so he doesn't want to wait that long.

We don't plan on having any at all and everytime we say that people don't believe us, they keep telling FH that I'm going to want one, but they don't realize that i'm the one saying NO

im on the fence with wanting kids but fh dropped a big bomb on me last week and says he wants to try during our HM!!!!!!!!!

FH is 11 years older and i come from a big family and want

I am not in baby mode yet either there is a few things I want to do with fh so I figure between 3-5 years after the wedding. and fh came up with the 5 years (which I was surprised) He said he understands Im younger and is cool with it! hes so great!

I always said I would wait a few years so that we could get accustomed to married life and each other before adding the extra stress (and joy) of a child.

However, I have been living with him for a few years now, I just turned 29 (sshhh!! don´t tell anyone), and he has a daughter that is 8. That got me thinking that we are already pretty used to each other, i´m getting older and i don´t want there to be a huge gap in age (which there already is) between his daughter and the baby.

That being said, I still think I would want to a few months before trying just to get everything settled. (omg I will be having my first child at 30!!!! - I feel REALLY old right now!!)

In regards to your case, I think you should do what you feel right for you. Just make sure you guys are financially stable. Some people over do it a bit with the wedding and end up with debt. Remember a child can get REALLY expensive!! This has been an issue for people I know.

Whatever you decide I wish you all the luck in the world. You will have a beautiful baby and be so in love with him/her, no matter when you decide to do it.

maybe 3-5 years. i want to travel and continue working where i work. once we have a house and everything, then bring on the babies... if we have any. plus i would like to see if the world ends in 2012 before i have kids.

We are going to wait 3-5 years. We (or at least I am haha) are on the younger side so I still have time!

We still don't know if we want any. We go back and forth on this topic.
If we do, we won't be trying for a few years - at least 4 or 5 years.

Probably wait to start trying til a yr after we get married. I'll be 32 by that time and he will be 29...and I would like to stop having children by the time I am 35..so, relatively soon after we are married. Although, FH has recently started saying, 'I am sooo excited to have kids', of which my response is 'babysteps - lets get thru the wedding first!'.
