I thought it might be good to start our own thread. We're all in the same boat, and we can help each other find things we need, vent about issues, support each other's diets.

I did go to the wedding center and the ladies there were very nasty and said I could only try on 5 dresses. I went to Bridal Suite in Huntington and the lady there was very nice, but they only had 4 dresses to try on. I will def check out some other places. Thanks girls.

Yeah the weekends are a PITA. If you go on a weekday there is no limit to how many you can try on. I wish I remembered the name of the lady who helped me.. she was older and plus sized herself.. she was SO helpful and HONEST

S-c-r-e-w them!! I would have LOVED to know what a size 22 dress was going to look like on me!! or even what one looked like period. I even wrote in my review that I was really sick of being told to 'imagine' how a size 8 dress would look if it was 'my size'
I think your pics are beautiful. I think you looked like a beatiful bride, no matter what size you are. Don't worry about what other people say.

awww you are so sweet!!! I am going to cry!! Well it hit a sore spot for me b/c I wasn't this size when I met DH. I was a size 6-8 But after I got pregnant with my son I gained alot of weight that I have yet to shed.

AMEN sister!!! We are all beautiful in our own way.
My DH says that a woman without curves is not a real woman at all. Women were MEANT to be round in all the right places.

I only speak the truth. We haven't chatted that much but I've noticed your posts quite a bit partly because once you posted your wedding avatar picture it just always stands out in a thread full of posts (just like Jimmy's bride's feet, and palebride's veil peaking, and others...).
I just can't believe someone would make such a horrible comment!

I was peeking...since I'm not 'thin' by anyone's measure! And I had to post - Maxine, I can't believe someone actually said that to you! Clearly, people's perceptions of beauty are corrupted by what society says is 'beautiful'.
You are not just pretty on the outside but from what I have seen, have an amazing personality, talent and resourcefulness.
I too am not the size I was when I met my DH (and I have no kids to thank for it, I just like food! ) so I know how frustrating it is. But sweetie, you'll deal with that when you're ready. Please don't let anyone bring you down...you are beautiful!

My husband is knawing at the bit to get started... but part of me wants to be married a full year before we start plus we know we are going on a cruise in February, so I don't want to possibly be TOO pregnant to fly!
I'll just have to keep living vicariously through others until its my time!

Who would say such a nasty thing to you Maxine...you are so gorgeous and were absolutely glowing on your wedding day. Your wedding was amazing. I loved every minute of it. I can look at your pics over and over again and never get sick of them.

I'm Meredith, FH is Mike I'm 26, he is turning 30 next week We currently rent an apt in copiague, not looking to buy right now. We don't have any children...i'm going to stay on BC until after the wedding.
