Well after someone on this board called me fat the other day and said I am too young to be so overweight and that my husband was going to stray I was going to delete all my pictures and not ever post any again but you know what???? S-c-r-e-w them!!
I would have LOVED to know what a size 22 dress was going to look like on me!! or even what one looked like period.
I even wrote in my review that I was really sick of being told to 'imagine' how a size 8 dress would look if it was 'my size'

I think your pics are beautiful. I think you looked like a beatiful bride, no matter what size you are. Don't worry about what other people say.

what friggin nerve - who had the nerve to say somthing like that to you ?
i think you look beautiful and your gown is probably one of the pretties i've seen - some people just need a swift kick in the head -
grrrr

Congratulations Jen! I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling good and that your surgery was successful. In my weakest moments, I've often considered looking into the surgery, but the risks involved scare me more than the health risks of being overweight. I give you a lot of credit for making a life changing decision. Do you have any before and after pictures yet?

PS Congrats on finding your dress....it's beautiful and I can't wait to see pictures of you in it!

Aim...

I have to scan some before pics(before my first surgery in 2000, I was up to 519lbs at one point in my life).. but I have these from before my surgery in Feb and one from april.. you can see mostly in my face.. and my boobs have disappeared...

As far as the surgery, I only recommend it for extreme cases, I was 519lbs in 2000 after the first surgery I went down to about 340lbs, then gained back almost 50 because my surgery wasn't done correctly. So now I'm at 300lbs for the first time in over 15 years, I've tried every diet plan in the world, but I would lose and gain and the cycle was doing worse to my body than anything else. It's a serious surgery don't let anyone tell you differently, I tell people if you need to lose less than 150lbs, then try the gasric banding, it doesn't change your body functions, just makes it harder for you to gorge or over eat. Healing time is quicker and because you are not starving yourself there are less over-all complications.

Anyway here are the pictures I told FH I have to take some full body shots so people can compare better..

1- Before Sept 2004
2- After April 2005

How RUDE!! People are so inconsiderate. I can't believe someone would say that to you. I think you looked gorgeous! Don't listen to people like that, they're not worth your time.

Jen, I didn't know the whole story. Wow! What a scary roller coaster ride you've been on. I'm glad you are now healthy. And your FH sounds like a great guy who has stuck by you through all of this. Some men would not be able to handle the ups and downs that come with such a life choice. Keep us posted!
