aimerliny you have such beautiful pictures. i love your dress. i still have so many days of dress shopping. its hard to find a dress when you are a plus size bride. i wear a 26 and some dresses fit okay and some dresses are to small.

I have to scan some before pics(before my first surgery in 2000, I was up to 519lbs at one point in my life).. but I have these from before my surgery in Feb and one from april.. you can see mostly in my face.. and my boobs have disappeared...

As far as the surgery, I only recommend it for extreme cases, I was 519lbs in 2000 after the first surgery I went down to about 340lbs, then gained back almost 50 because my surgery wasn't done correctly. So now I'm at 300lbs for the first time in over 15 years, I've tried every diet plan in the world, but I would lose and gain and the cycle was doing worse to my body than anything else. It's a serious surgery don't let anyone tell you differently, I tell people if you need to lose less than 150lbs, then try the gasric banding, it doesn't change your body functions, just makes it harder for you to gorge or over eat. Healing time is quicker and because you are not starving yourself there are less over-all complications.

Anyway here are the pictures I told FH I have to take some full body shots so people can compare better..

Jen, I didn't know the whole story. Wow! What a scary roller coaster ride you've been on. I'm glad you are now healthy. And your FH sounds like a great guy who has stuck by you through all of this. Some men would not be able to handle the ups and downs that come with such a life choice. Keep us posted!

Thanks and I will keep you updated, I mostly kept up with my story on the 05 Board, they were so wonderfully supportive to me it was amazing, but now I am all over the place, here 05 and 06 lol

ETA: Yes Mike was the best nurse a woman could have.. at times he made me nuts but he gives me the stucture I need to keep going everyday he is my heart for this and so many other reasons!!!!

wow jen - sounds so very scarry to have had that surgery - i am so glad it worked out for you though.
a friend of mine had it 5 years ago and she has had so many complications - it has me just terrified - i could never do it myself.

we do have some really beautiful plus sized ladies on this thread dont we?
