Well after someone on this board called me fat the other day and said I am too young to be so overweight and that my husband was going to stray I was going to delete all my pictures and not ever post any again but you know what???? S-c-r-e-w them!!
I would have LOVED to know what a size 22 dress was going to look like on me!! or even what one looked like period.
I even wrote in my review that I was really sick of being told to 'imagine' how a size 8 dress would look if it was 'my size'

Oh, my!! Who called you fat?!! That's terrible! You're beautiful and your dress looked absolutely lovely!

I agree!!!

I think your pics are beautiful. I think you looked like a beatiful bride, no matter what size you are. Don't worry about what other people say.

Maxine I can't believe someone said that to you!!!!!! My jaw hit the floor... You Looked Absolutely Beautiful, and I hope I look half as beautiful as you did!!!!!

When it comes down to chosing your dress, I really think that when you find the right one, reguardless of your size, you just know. If you are trying on things that you don't feel comfortable in, then it just isn't it.

I know that with myself, I tried on the dress I'm wearing first, and was unsure because it had just spagetti straps. But after trying on many other dresses, I just kept going back to that one. I loved it's simplicity, it's not heavily beaded, and it's very lightweight which is a plus when you're 6 1/2 months pregnant getting married in july! Sure, I wish my arms looked better, but overall I feel really comfortable in this dress and I just feel like it is the one I am supposed to have.

My seamstress said that she altered another dress recently that was the exact same one I'll be wearing, and she added sleeves for that bride. Seriously, they are able to do practically anothing that you want. So just go with your gut, something you really feel comfortable in, and if you need to make any alterations just make sure you're going to a place that is highly recommended. I am sure you'll look beautiful on your wedding and will feel beautiful also.

I'm ototally so used to wearing tank tops and sleeveless shirts, that it never even occured to me to be uncomfy about my arms showing. I didn't think I'd choose a strapless dress, I was originally thinking I'd have spaghetti straps b/c I didn't want to keep tugging on the top, but my dress had a corset back and it was so snug and comfy, I never tugged once.

That is my issue...i'm so sure i would be pulling it up all night...even if it wasn't falling down...

My wedding gown was the first time I wore anything strapless, and it was so comfy, that I didn't fuss with it one bit. If it is altered right and fits you correctly, you won't be fussing with it.

Why only wear it once?

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides

I put mine on about a month ago. I still haven't brought it to be cleaned...partially because I know once I do that, I won't let myself try it on again.

When I put it on, my husband was reading a book in our living room. I came sashaying out and rocking from side to side like a bell. He just looked at me over his book and said 'you need help!'

Hehe!

My two best friends and I have all gotten married 4 months apart. We keep saying we're going to have a little get together (like on Friends) and we'll wear our wedding gowns and hang out...one last time!

Too funny!

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides

I was wondering if any of the beautiful brides on this thread have albumns made up of thier weddings or if they have some pics they could post. I know I could find them if I looked really hard, but I want easy access! Hehee. I'd love to see pics of all of your weddings and you all done up in your gowns! I only have one day to go until my wedding!!!

Wow, you looked absolutely beautiful on your wedding day! I had a friend who did a December wedding because she just HAD to have the holiday decorations in her pictures. It looks like it was all so beautiful.

I'm off for my manicure and pedicure! I'm sooooo antsy!!!
