I was just doing a search for plus size undergarments and came across this thread. It obviously hasn't been active in a little while. Have you gotten your undergarments yet? If so, where did you go?

Does anyone know where I can find a plus-sized 'just married' or 'bride' hoodie? Or even just a cute plain hoodie that I can embroider myself?

I haven't gotten mine yet but I would like to check out Bra tenders in the city..I've ordered a few things online but they offered no support
It comes highly recommended so I'll make the trip there before my fittings
They are great, that's where I am getting my dress!!

I got my hoodie at Target, and I'm either going to bring it to the place at the mall or the embroidery store in Smithtown.

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides
I went looking for dresses a few times for fun. But it was NOT fun at ALL. I wear a size 16, a size 20 dress didn't fit. What the hell is that all about, how does this work do you have to get larger sizes then what you are. I'm freaking out.

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides
What happens is dress makers use sizing from the '50s and back then a size 16 is like a size 20 today. People were not as 'big' as they are now. I only know that from when I went to FIT and I was a size 12 and was paid to be a plus sized model to have them pin stuff on me since 8 years ago and plus size was 12-16.
I started to dress shop the last few weeks. I am a size 14 street (sometimes 16 depending on the designer) and not considered plus size (which shocked me) but I am on the high end of regular sizes. I figured by measuring myself i would be ordering a size 18 dress. The women at the stores won't put me in a plus size dress which i find odd because i would be able to actually have a bigger dress one me instead of being half out of the size 12 or not getting the dress over my hips.
What I wanted to say though is for you girls who get horrified over the dress number please don't. I have been hearing stories at some stores that girls are finding out they have to be ordered a 18 or 20 or more and then girls go no just put me down for a 12 or 14 i will just drop the weight. WHY???? WHY do that to yourself. I realize you can possibly drop the pounds but why risk it? I am the greatest example of going from a size 12 to 14 to a 16 back and forth constantly. Its hard when stressing out over a wedding to think you can drop that much just to fit in a 'street' size. Just ignore it.. get whats fitting you now and if you drop the pounds GREAT they can take it in but they can't really take it out.
Now the problem is my mom who is over a size 20 street (she wont tell me hear size at all) and she is scared to try on dresses at all. We have sugarplums as a place to visit anyone go there?

Re: A thread just for PlusSize Brides
I went to Sugar Plum with my mom they had nice plus size dresses but so expensive. My Daughters Wedding in Great Neck was so much better the dress was $475. Sugar Plum was $800 and the one we loved was over $1,000 I don't want my mom to spend that kind of money. Try the place in great Neck they are so nice.
