A thread just for PlusSize Brides

Original post by aimerliny

I thought it might be good to start our own thread. We're all in the same boat, and we can help each other find things we need, vent about issues, support each other's diets.

Anyone interested?

Fluffy! Nice term. I'll have to run that one by FH. I loved your Thank You Cards and Magnets by the way -- I said so on your other post!

Yes I like the word fluffy...haha. Thats what my Mom says. 'I'm not fat I'm fluffy!'

Thanks! I just LOVE this wedding stuff. Didn't know I would like it this much! I have fun designing and getting EVERYTHING and this is only the beginning for me.

I love all this wedding stuff too. The planning is fun, and so is spending all this money. ;)

Hello! I'm a plus size bride too! But I do not want to be a chubby bride :(

I am starting briday bootcamp when I return from from Greece in 3 weeks...

Hi Stacie! Good luck! What is bridal boot camp? Is that what you are just calling your diet and exercise or are you actually joining some kind of program?

I just found our my shower invitations went in the mail. WoohoO! FH and I were actually at Blood Bath & Beyond last night updating our registry. The bummer is, they no longer carry our everyday dinnerware and we don't like anything they have now. We're going to go Fortunoff's tonight to update that registry and HOPEFULLY find everyday dishes that we like there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARA!

Aren't you the world traveler? Florida today, Las Vegas for your bachelorette!

My bachelorette will be more tame. I think we are heading to the city to see a show (maybe off broadway) and then dinner and drinks at the drag queen restaurant -- Lucky Changs?

For Christmas last year, FH bought me a pear-shaped diamond pendant to match my eRing. I wear it almost every day.

Last night, my MOH and I finished doing all the bows on my favors. Now I'm just waiting for the tags to be printed and that can be checked off my list!

Thanks for the birthday wishes...of course lots of cake was consumed, so now I have to get back on WW -- not much time left to fit into my dress!!! FI got me a claddagh ring as I've mentioned that I'd like one --- except I really wanted .5 earrings to match the baguettes on my e-ring! Oh well....

I am printing up my programs except I oredered the wrong stationery and it will take a week to be delivered.

Everything else is moving along -- just got back from getting the MARRIAGE LICENSE -- which was a headache in itself as my divorce was in Spanish and the Consulate said they sent over the translation -- NOT!! We had to get a translator to do it in 30 minutes = $30. Ah well, at least we have it now!

How is everyone else doing??

HI! There are gyms that offer 'bridal boot camp' (diet and stuff) programs. Thats where I got the name for my diet exercise plans. I am just doing my own thing gym w/ a trainer and weight watchers (sort of)... Have a nice weekend everyone!

Weird question: What are you doing about having your thighs rub together if you're not wearing stockings??

A little trick I have learned is deoderant. Whenever I wear a skirt I keep a travel size deoderant in my purse and every once in a while apply...it sounds odd but it works! It doesn't get all over (shoes especially) like powder and it lasts long.

GOood luck!

THis is My Dress:

That was my dress too, don't you love it?

Kim? What kind of undergarments did you wear. I really want straps (i hate strapless bras) but im afraid that the neckline is too wide. I need to buy something b4 i see the dress again cause my 1st fitting is in 2 weeks (and i dont really remember what it looks like in person - after1 year ). TIA

OH My GOD! What a great trick! I usually use clear gel deodorant -- does that work, or should I use stick?

Yes stick. I usually keep on hand the small travel secret. NOT GEL!!! Just the standard white stick deoderant...I have even done it over stockings! You will never go back!!! Good luck!
