so is a year and a half too soon to start looking at vendors??? what do you think ?

Yup!! I'm getting married after you and I have the Hall, Church, DJ, photo and Video all booked!

I booked, RH with ceremony location photo/video, DJ with ceremony music. You can take your time and shop around for good prices.

not at all...people book way in advance...if you look theres 09'ers who booked some vendors...you're better off being able to book a vendor you really want rather than being disappointed when they tell you that they're booked

No it's definately not too soon... I'm getting married only a few months before you and already have church, RH, band, florist, photo/video, and limos booked up and I bought my dress! Plus it's better to get all those done and then you can just relax! And also, if you want certain vendors you don't have to worry about them already being booked up for your day if you wait too long!

I got engaged the day before Valentine's Day and we had the reception hall/ceremony location booked by Feb 17. We want to get everything done as soon as possible so we can enjoy the last say...6 months of our engagement. The date is 8/8/08!!!

Start as soon as you can!! my wedding is in a year and i feel sooo far behind... But Im booking a RH tonight (they are already holding my date) but thats all i have!!!!!! start as soon as you can! I've also seen fall of '09 brides at wedding expos

things book up really fast. The earlier you start...the more you get what you want.

yup things book up really quickly! when i had a year & a half to go i had all my major vendors booked: the church, RH, dj, florist, photo/video. also if u want certain vendors - i say book now!!

by a year and a half mark, i've already booked my reception hall, ceremony place, photography, videography, and dj.

my wedding is in oct of o8 and i have my church, rh, dj,photo and video all booked already. Get moving the popular ones get booked rather quickly. Let the fun begin!

I started to look right after i was engaged and that was a year and a half. I would look around but try to hold off to book anything until you kinda reached near that year mark. Just meet every vendor possible but obviously if you find your catering hall before the year mark deff. book that because i highly doubt you will change your mind on that.

I only have a few things too...FH thinks I am crazy to start booking now...meanwhile I feel so slow when I come on here!! lol

absolutely not. the more time you have the more money you will save b/c you can comparison shop and bargain vendors down. plus people grab up the good vendors QUICKLY.
