OMG. OMG I NEED HELP! I just got a call from someone telling me that WaterView Club, my venue, was getting evicted (4 months before my wedding!!!). I only was able to get a busy signal when I called, and in response to an email to my maitre de, I received THIS from the owner:
There is an issue between WaterView Club and the landlord. We are working on a resolution. We know it is unsettling, please give us a few days and we will have answers
I already put down a lot in deposit, but more importantly, where can I find a place that has my date open in 4 months from now!!??
Please help! I need advice!!!

My venue, Willow Creek Golf & Country Club had a day open up but it's 9/23/13 and it's out in Mt. Sinai so it's pretty far from that. I'm so sorry you're stressing about this, I hope they work it all out, that's ridiculous.

OMG I'm so sorry that this is happening to you! My venue isnt a terribly popular one so you could try calling them to see if they have your date open. I truly hope for your sake that they get this straightened out. And make sure you keep all of your receipts from your payments and if they do go under (fingers crossed they dont!) I would take them straight to small claims court to get your money back. So so so so sorry this is happening! Keep us posted on everything!
Oh my gosh, I'm soooooo so so sorry you're dealing with this!
I hope it all works out in the end, but if you do have to book another venue, I think Lessing's sometimes has dates available without too much advance notice and they'll offer special rates for remaining dates for the year.
Check out any of the lessings venues!!! Check their website and the 'flyers' on the website because a lot of them will have their open dates LISTED on the flyer!!
I am SO sorry you're going through this :(

Wow!!! Deep breaths. Find out the situation with the $$ from your old venue and start calling around to see who has a date available. I'm sure you will be able to find an open date. Good luck!!

I've heard of brides who had to move their venues last minute because of the hurricane last year being able to book at East Wind last minute. They have the ability to do more the one wedding at once which is probably why they are sometimes able to do last minute bookings. Also, since they have 3 separate buildings you don't even see the other weddings going on. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that but if it does, give East Wind a call!
