Addressing Invitations Question

Hello again everyone. I have a question. We have a few friends that have significant others but they do not live together. I want to send the invitation to one of thier homes, but not an invitation to each of them. How do I word it on the outer and inner envelopes? Please help!

Addressing Invitations Question

I addressed the outer envelope to both -I though this was better to acknowlegde both especially if we knew the significant other. Ms. Jane Joe Mr. Bill Smith hfisfuwifwifh I didn't have inner envelopes.

What I did...

The proper 'etiquette' is to send a separate invite to the person's guest. However, that neither practical (especially if you don't have a personal relationship with the SO), nor cost-effective, since it could add 25 or so invites to your list. So, my compromise was to address the outer envelopes to BOTH people, but use the address of the person I (or fiance) had a relationship with. The inner envelopes were also addressed to both people: Outer: Ms. Kelly Smith and Mr. John Jones (use Kelly's address) Inner: Ms. Smith and Mr. Jones Hope this helps! Good luck!
