adoption shower registries..is this tacky?

adoption shower registries..is this tacky?

My mom and sisters are planning a shower for us. They told us to register for things we'd like just like for a baby shower. Ive read alot about adoption showers and they seem to be the same type of ettiquette as a baby shower, but my questions is this: I cant find EVRYTHING I need in one place. Not even two places..I have registries at FOUR places..I dont know what to do. Is that rude? Land of Nod has the bedding we love, Target has alot of great kids movies that I would love for the boys to have, Walmart has the sports stuff and lots of great books and Penneys has a few things as well, such as their soccer ball foof chair that I cant find anywhere else.
We dont know when our shower is, we just know it will be happening..I know the invitation will include an insert with the places we are registered at, but is having four places tacky? Each store hardly has any items, but what I found at Target, I cant find at walmart, etc. HELLPP

given your situation, not tacky at all. there is no 1 superstore that is going to have everything you want..I would be so excited to attended a shower that is for young boys, finally different gifts to open!! Everyone is going to be so excited, no one will think it is tacky at all

I would use all four, but put two different stores in each invite...Do you know what I mean??? Give Aunt Millie store #1 and store #2...Give Cousin Rose store #3 and store #4...Mix them up a bit...Then let Aunt Millie and Cousin Rose pass around the info on the other two stores by word of mouth...

Note---> I don't think it's tacky to have all four...Just thought it would be a better idea if you tried to spread them out.

I don't think its tacky at all. For older children you are going to have to go to a few different stores to find the items you need. People will understand this and go to the store that's easiest for them.

REALLY??? I feel greedy and rude, but land of nod only has two items on it, Pennys I think has five, Target maybe ten, which are mostly movies, etc. I just feel greedy, but thank you..you guys are making me feel so much better!!!!!

Is not tacky at all. They are your kids and you are welcoming into this world. Your situation shouldn't be any different. You must be so excited.

Definitely not tacky. I would rather see 4 stores listed....with things you need for your sons than have to buy you something that you may not want/need/or already have!

Congrats again!!

Alicia - I don't think it's tacky at all, but if it makes you feel better - can your mom put some sort of insert in with the invite almost joking about it that the good stuff is all split up and maybe to check the registry online first to make sure things are still on at a specific store before they go? Did that make ANY sense?

Not tacky at all...

How old are these boys you are adopting? Are they brothers?

definitely not tacky. in fact it's kind of nice b/c some people might live near only one store or something, so it gives them more choices.

Alicia, with older kids it is harder-- you couldn't possibly find everything in 1 store. My friend registered for her weiidng at 3 stores & it didn't make any difference to me one way or the other.

I think 4 is fine for your shower.
I think people like to have options. I would list all 4 on every invite.

OMG Alicia - so not tacky!! They're boys, not babies, so their needs are a little more diverse than an unborn child's would be. Plus, there are two of them! No, definitely not tacky, I wouldn't even concern myself with it!
