Not being a racist....but where are the hairstylists and make-up artists that cater to Black women? Did anyone on these boards have any luck as of yet or nformation?

Hi Shamma,
Would you mind posting a few of your photos so we could get a look at how your makeup was done?
Thanks

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
I will be more than happy to oblige, a few AA brides on here used either of the two
These are only a few of what I have scanned. But the makeup was clean and did not need to be touched up not once.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Thanks ladies, I tried a few people before I found Jennifer. My GF did my hair as a gift to me. If anyone is in the NYcity area and would like her info just FM me and I will gladly pass it on to you. She was at my house the morning of and with me all day.

charlotte227, did you get my other FM? She called me to apologize because I think her 2 year old son erased someone's message - I think it was yours. Call her again.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Hi all, Here is a site that features links to several black hair style sites...
I didn't find FairyTale Makeovers as a vendor on this board... is Jennifer a vendor on here?

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Nice pictures, I love the first one. Ericia, do a search on Fairytale makeovers. She's not a vendor here but so many brides here have used her. She's very good. I had a trial with her and was very close to going wiith her.

Re: AFRICAN-AMERICAN BRIDES
Hi Ladies
Now, Tammy, why didn't we think of a thread like this last year?
Just want to pipe in my 2 cents also. For my makeup I used Jacqueline Nicole - she was GREAT. She did me and she came to my hotel and did some of my girls too. She did great, I'm black and so were 2 of the girls she did and 2 girls were Indian.
For my hair, I used a Dominican stylist who also did all our hairs. We all have different textures and she did a GREAT job. She's located in Westbury, I can give her info if anyone wants it. Her name is Leiny, Curly2003 used her too.
Nice to meet you all
