I bought him a set of rims for his new car. Kind of unusual but it was something he really wanted.

Did anyone buy their fh an engagement gift? After we got engaged I bought my fh a Raymond Weil watch and we are going on a trip to DR in June...did anyone else buy their fh's a gift? What did you get him??

At the time we got engaged (about 2 years ago) I really didn't hear about getting your FH an engagement gift and I didn't even think that that may be something I should do so I didn't. I have not heard the end of from FH till this day So what I'm going to do is I planned on getting him a Movado watch for his wedding gift, which he knows about...but I'm also going to get him something else along with that. I've been thinking about buying him a brick that they are building the new Mets stadium with and having it engraved. (That was totally an idea I got from a really smart bride on this board )

I bought him a new wardrobe. Haha.

I think my exact words were, 'Now that we're engaged we're going to go to lots of meetings and parties and you have to have some nice clothes. Let's go to Express!'

And I proceeded to buy him 4 button downs, a pair of khakis, a pair of jeans, a polo shirt, two tshirts, and a sweater vest. I also bought him two ties and another button down on my own.

We didn't. We decided not even to have an engagement party because we felt that the $$ would be better spent on our wedding.

nope. we were (and are) too poor to do that. And we jumped right into planning, so we really didn't have time to savor the engagement, sadly.

I just got fh a thomas kinkade painting, a day at cinderellas castle because were getting married there...

but hes not getting i till the night of the e-party
