I am 36.

First, F that saleslady in the A. Pardon my vulgarity, but I don't know what her problem was- how do you say that to someone? You are a bride- why not wear what you want??? All of those rules seem so anachronistic these days. None of it applies anymore. YOu wear what you want!!

Second, you look AMAZING- I bet the 20 year old you stole that body from is super pissed. Babe- you want those pick-ups?? You get them and wear the hell out of them. That is just the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

The joy of a wedding day is not the exclusive domain of the 'young'. It is for everyone who has had the good fortune to find love, and who wants to share that with the people they know. And it is for you to celebrate in any way you see fit.

You will look like an absolute princess, and I truly hope you take your business elsewhere to someone who understands this. This shouldn't even take up a moment of your thoughts.

Best of luck, and show it off. Either you have worked very hard for that body, or God loves you. Either way, I am bitter and resentful. If I had your shape, at 36, I'd be wearing a g-string and pasties with tassles, walking down the aisle screaming 'Check me out.'

First of all you are HOTT!!!!!!!!!! I'm 25 and will be when I get married and I don't know f I ever looked as good as you! As for the sales lady, tell her to s**k it! DO NOT GO BACK TO THAT STORE!!!!! I would look high and low for another store that has that dress, it is so amazing! I think you can totally pull it off. If that lady thinks it is sweet 16ish that why is it even in the store? I don't see any 16 year olds on this board getting married, but I do see plenty of brides getting dresses with pick ups! I think that lady was probably jealous of you! I'm so gld to read that you are going to get the dress, post plently of pics of you in in and we can mail that to that B***h!

While this seems almost pointless at this stage as all the other girls have said it. . absolutely wear that dress. . I am 36. . . and your dress just makes me want to go buy a pick up. . like you I feel super young (though I don't look quite as 'slammin' as you) and want to wear whatever I want. . this is my first wedding too and one person told me that I should wear something more sedate. . and my gown in not even over the top at all. . .so seriously screw all of them. . wear what you want, look ridicuously beautiful and just have fun!!!

You look great!!!! You wear whatever you want- it's your wedding and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Pickups are elegant (if done correctly) and not sweet 16. IMO toulle is sweet 16 not pickups. Your dress choice is beautiful so go with that!! Good luck

I took a look at your album and....YOU'RE 41???????? Man do I want to look like you when I'M 41!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You look fantastic! I would never say that there was such a big age difference between you two!

That being said, I'm 20 and I think you should definitely go for it! I think the dress would look amazing on you. And especially if its your first marriage, you shouldn't be hesitant at all about wearing white

Oh my goodness, I wish I looked like you now!!! You are so pretty and you are going to look amazing in your dress, whether it is whte, ivory, or lime green with polka dots!
