You might be referring to me - and you know what, I am a good judge of character. This idiot is a con artist - and I asked all the right questions. He was refunding my money up until one week ago until he split town.

I read the bad publicity and followed up with him to find out what happenned - you can't believe everything you read - and there are 3 sides to every story - his, hers and the truth.

I wanted his side BEFORE I jumped to conclusions. After he didn't call me back, I knew something was up and I wanted to break the contract. I relentlessly called and left messages for almost 2 months before I drove over to his house. I don't live near Deer Park so it's not exactly an easy thing to make time for - I'm not a stalker.

I finally got this jerk on the line and he offered the deposit back to me b/c I let him know on the messages and finally on the phone how INFURIATED I was with him. I was supposed to receive the check after Thanksgiving - and now he's gone.

I don't need you to use this horrible incident that many of us have to deal with now, on top of other wedding plans, jobs, lives - as a lesson. I think it's quite self-righteous of you to be doling out lessons when you don't know the full story of how I handled this situation.

I think Denise's point is that it is a lesson for ALL OF US, not just the people who jumped all over Kit. I remember that post very clearly and some people were very rude. If memory serves she was accused of not knowing what happened and of being a vendor. I can't recall who said what. But I remember thinking that this woman (Kit) came here to warn us about an experience that someone close to her had and becuase she hadn't posted for very long, most people disregarded her warning.

I think we can all take from this experience that it is best to check with our vendors when we see a post like that. Not that we should immediately cancel, because I am sure every vendor has a bad day, but that we shouldn't just shoot the messenger and write it off as inaccurate third hand statements.

DeniseMang you have forum mail! Let me just say that I never accused Kit of being a vendor, I had some suspicions about her post and that is all. Unfortunately I was duped by a criminal as were many other brides. We should not use this board to belittle anyone, but to help each other with our wedding plans, which is stressful enough! I am so greatful for these boards because it has been soooo helpful to me. If not for everyone's posts I would not have known about Marc's wrongdoings and booked another company several months ago. Yes, it took me awhile to believe the posts because I trusted my vendor and didn't want to deal with finding another one, but I don't think this makes me a bad person. For the future, these types of posts against a particular bride should be left to forum mail. I want to be on these boards to gather info and give advice whenever I can and I am sure the rest of us feel the same. So can't we all just get along!

I SPOKE TO SOME VICTIMS OF VIDEOMAKER AND IT TURNS OUT ANOTHER T.V. STATION WANTS TO PICK THE STORY UP NOW...... UNFORTUNATELY WE WERE TOLD ONCE FOX5 PICKED US UP THAT WE COULDN'T DO INTERVIEWS WITH OTHER STATIONS. I KNOW WE'D LOVE TO GET AS MANY STATIONS INVOLVED AS POSSIBLE, BUT I HAPPEN TO KNOW FOX5 IS CLOSING IN AND WE DON'T WANT TO RISK BEING DROPPED BY FOX5 BY INTERVIEWING WITH ANOTHER STATION.

SO PLEASE, ANYONE INVOLVED WITH THIS PERSONALLY, HOLD OUT SPEAKING TO OTHER STATIONS FOR NOW. FOX5 IS DOING AN AWESOME JOB AND THEY HAVE TONS OF INFO ALREADY. THEY ARE WORKIGN QUICKLY AND WE SHOULD HEAR SOME NEWS SOON !!

I feel the same way. I don't think we should take the money back (though I doubt he has any of it). I want to see him in jail and I want the footage. If the footage is gone (which is a possibility) then I really want him in jail. And not just him, anyone who helped him. They are all accomplices (the DJ especially!).

I agree, I feel so bad for the couples that haven't gotten thier footage back
All I lost was some cash, I hope you guys get your tapes back, I don't know what he could have possibly done with them...they have to be somewhere.

we all want our tapes back, not the money. We are hoping the sooner we catch him the better our odds with actually getting video back from him before they disappear for good.

I think all the girls involved can agree our wedding videos are PRICELESS !! AND WE WANT THEM BACK !!

Amen to that!

I was the one contacted by another news station. We are not going to speak to them or anyone else until Fox airs their story.

Also, we can't post any more information on what is going on until the show airs.

I'm sorry we have to keep all the other concerned brides in the dark, but it's vital to our case that we not reveal too much.

All will be revealed in due time.
