HI Everyone!! I just keep noticing more and more 10-12-03 brides on here and wanted to see who we all are and where everyone is with there planning. I didn't think a sunday in Oct. would be such a popular day. Any reason you picked that day??
It was my grandmother's ( who I was named after)birthday. She passed away 7 years ago.
This is what I have done so far: All my vendors are booked (Yahoo!! Oh except hairstylists), order BM and my dress next Sat, just finished pre-cana ( just have final mass to go to in March), picked up invites 2 weeks ago, picked out tuxes, ordered favors and registered at fortunoff's, bed, bath & beyond and kohl's...I think that's it. So now we can relax for alittle while. By the way my name is Nancy

The women I ordered my invites from told me to send them out the first week in August. My rsvp date is sept 3rd. I'll probably send them out the last week in July.

Don't worry...you girls are SO ahead of me!!!! All i have is the place and the band...i have yet to even START looking for a dress. it is really hard for me because right after i got engaged i had to study for the bar exam and then i moved to syracuse for a year...i can't do anything while i am up here!!!! Everything is pushed off to the few weekends i am home and it took us until Nov. just to book the place...i am starting to get nervous now seeing how far behind i am and my fiance and i are spending a fortune on plane tickets since we have yet to miss a weekend of seeing each other!!!! This is why i am constantly on here looking for vendor advice because there is no way i can shop around as much as i want...i have to narrow it down to a few and pick from there

Same here AnnieB! Don't worry about it we are all here to help each other. You are not far behind. You still have 8 months. I just started early because... 1. I am a worrier and I know if I see something or someone i want and don't get it it will eat me up inside. 2. I wanted to be able to relax the closer it got and not rush around because i would be pulling my hair out. So don't worry you will be fine!

Also being in Syracuse might be a good thing for looking at dresses. When I was visiting a friend in Buffalo we went looking and some of the same dresses i tried on here were soo much cheaper up there..same dress! Just a thought! Also i went to school in Oswego so i spent alot of time in syracuse..I feel like I know where you are! There must be alot of snow =)

I'm planning from ohio. So I know about stress and plane tickets. LOL They are right about buying your dress there though. Try looking. I got mine here much less expensive than in NY. And this list is a great place to find vendors. I found a lot of mine on here too. These girls know their vendors :)

Thanks for all the support girls and yes, it does snow WAY too much here...i have lived in LI my whole life, i am not used to this!!! We have had over 120 inches of snow so far this winter!! And of course, it is snowing right now

Hi I'm a 10/12/03 bride too!
We chose October cuz we wanted a month when there were no other holidays, birthdays, etc. in it (we don't count Halloween). Chose the 12th cuz I thougth SOMEBODY would get the next day off but so far nobody's off, altho lotsa guests have said they'd have no problem taking the day off!
So far I've booked: church/officiant; reception site; photo & video; DJ; booked our 2week Jamaica honeymoon registered at Macy's & BB&B; hotel blocked; sending out STDs by early March probably.
I've found my dress just need to order; made half my bookmark favors & must start figuring out exactly how I'm gonna burn all those CDs!

By the way were is everyone's reception? Ours is at North Ritz Club.
Oh and Happy Valentine's Day to you All!!!! - I don't know exactly what the heart one is suppose to mean since he is frowning but it had hearts so I figured I'd put it there.

Happy Happy V-Day everyone!!!! We are having our reception at the Crest Hollow C/C. For some reason ( I know it is a bit early) but I am getting REALLY excited.
