I bought photoframes for place card holders only because I got them used from Craigs-where I got 80 or 85 (I don't remember now) with a few other things for $100. Then I realized I needed special holders for them. Ink Spun is doing them for .39/each, which will look better than my horrendous writing and I don't have a printer. It is been a pain, so I think you are better doing it simple.

It's not being cheap, it's a matter of preference. I didn't use a holder or ones other than the RH had for me...they were pretty! TRUST me, not ONE person will even take notice of the background, color or font on that thing lolo

I am cheap too. I just used the cards the hall gave us and they were fine. It is not cheap-but smart.

I don't think it's being cheap!! I think doing something other then using th halls is extra. It will be fine. 99.9% of your guest would not even notice either way.

I am using everything that my RH is providing - direction cards, menus, table numbers, seating cards, linens, etc. I see no reason to spend extra money on items that will just get thrown away at the end of the evening or that no one will pay any attention to.

The only 'specialty' item I am having are seating scrolls which I am printing out myself. I bought two really nice picture frames from Macy's (on sale) to put them in. I can use the frames after the wedding or give them away to someone who wants them. I am putting my RH's blank seating cards next to the scrolls so my guests can write down their table number for later.
