Am I the only one who's aggravated with guests?!

We spent a lot of money on our invitations, response cards and spent over $81 on stamps alone, why is so hard for people to send their response cards back?! I'm soooo annoyed with people right now, I'll be even more annoyed if I have to take time out to call these people up to ask them if they are planning on coming, like I have nothing better to do with my time!!! I wouldn't do this if I wasn't short on my headcount for the hall. Why do people do this, when I get an invite I respond ASAP, I would expect people (especially family & close friends) to have the same courtesy!! Sorry, just had to vent!

OH i can definitely relate. Our responses were due back last week and we are still missing about 15. Its very funny how many 'must have gotten lost in the mail' and how many people misplaced it.

Evelyn, sweetie we all go thru it or all went thru it. I was so happy when this time passed. There was a wedding that my hubby was in and the woman kept calling asking for his RSVP. I was like you are in the wedding she knows you will be there. Can I just tell you that this same woman never sent hers back You would think she would have been 1st in line to send hers back. YOu will have to call sweetie, just don't get too worked up over it. It will all come together in the end.

had the same problem and I still have two cousins believe it or not who didnt even respond!! I know they probably are not coming and put them as no
but it is very rude and inconsiderate
and I had many people do that to me too
so you are not the only way
makes you realize who people really are

I called about seven people and one of them never even called back.... the rest had a song and dance and different stories for me of why they didnt send it or they thought they did....

People are soo frikkin rude some times!! I had a guy call me the day of my party to RSVP !! lol I had about 50+ outstanding !!! I had to harass them big time!

I am too! Even though I just sent my invites out, I am not experiencing many problems as of yet, however I anticipate a huge ton of problemswith my FH's family from overseas and some from out of state. It seems that they don't believe in RSVP-ing and just show up. My FMIL has told me that she will have to call them constantly and bug them about wether or not they will attend! I have to give the final headcount 1 week before the wedding (If I remember this correctly) but will be wondering if the day of the wedding unexpected guests will arrive and I won't have seating for them

WTF is wrong with these people? Don't they understand that we NEED to know who is coming? We are not planning a backyard picnic and this event is costing us A LOT of $.

Also, my FH's relatives seem to just invite on their own more guests than we invited. They will just decide that their friend next door has nothing to do and should come! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I have seen this first hand with other family functions my FH has had and don't want it to happen to me! I love his family- don't get me wrong- and we all get along well. They are just culturally different from us (literally- they all came from another country where these traditons are different). They all think the more the merrier and that family takes care of family, no matter how put out you are.

This was the worst part of the whole wedding process for me. Even better, my dad refused to let me all anyone who didn't respond from his list. He simply said put them all as no's. We were also short for our gaurentee but there really isn't anyhting you can do about other peoples rudeness. hang in there!

Kelly that is the conclusion that my hubby and I came to, some of these people really believe we were throwing a free for all backyard BBQ. To think that they could be so inconsiderate of us.

Don't worry we all understand. I will let you know tho' it is so worth it in the end

I think I need hire John Edwards- the pychic to tell me who is coming and not coming. And I also told my FH that e-mails are not RSVPs so if someone sends him an e-mail he is to tell them to send me that little card with the pre-paid stamp on it.

I have a funny one - I received a response card yesterday and it says 2 attending - and on line were you are to fill in name of guest - some genious wrote MY PARENTS NAMES!!! Now i have to figure out who the BRANIAC is.

One thing that one of my BM did at my invite stuffing party was put a # in the lower corner of each response card. This was used to track if a guest did not write in their name. It works. This info is for brides that have not sent out their invites yet

That stinks. Whenever I get an invitation, I tend to respond rather quickly out of courtesy.

Not everyone thinks like this and I guess some people don't understand the whole room guarantee thing.

I'm planning on sending my invites out earlier than I should. Since I'm getting married on a holiday weekend, I want to give people enough time to respond. I'm also sending out STD magnets with the christmas cards this year to give people a heads up.

I agree - that does stink and I'm sure I'll feel the same way when it happens to me. But I have to say that I have been guilty of this a few times. I am such a procrastinator - no excuse but I am Although usually when I have done it - the person has known I was coming - I either told them in person or was in the wedding, so, I guess they could figure I was gonna be there. But - I am trying to change my ways after realizing what a pain in the a$$ it must be.

What really bugs me are the people who've had weddings and know how annoying it is to wait forever for the response cards and STILL don't send them right back to new brides!! All the married people who haven't responded to me really p*&*& me off!!

Ha-ha!! True, I guess I'm more upset at the amount of money I spent on stamps! Of course the price went up right before I sent mine out. If I wanted people to just tell me they were coming over the phone I would have saved money and not gottten response cards made!!! But you're right, married people should know better!! My friend who's wedding I'm in (I'm her MOH), I sent her's back the day I got it, she's had mine now for three weeks and still hasn't responded!!! How hard is it to check yes or no and stick it in it's self addressed envelope?! GEEZ!!!! I'm not really stressing over it, it just seems like I could have saved some money and bought something else like more flowers or something....
