FH recently moved to Michigan and has few friends there. So when someone offers to go out, he jumps on it. Anyway, last night a single female co-worker asked him to go out for a drink. That didn't bother me. However, afterward he went back to her place and stayed there till 4 AM. Well today when he told me about it, I was really annoyed. I would never go to a guys place alone and stay till 4 AM. I have never met this girl and know nothing about her. Perhaps if we knew eachother, I wouldn't care.
What do you girls think? Would you be bothered by FH at girls place till 4 AM when you dont know her?

yes, I would be very bothered. it's one thing to trust each other, but at 4am after drinks that is not a good situation for your FH to put himself in.

It would bother me. It's normal for you feel that way. I don't think he would like you to stay with a guy till 4 am at his apartment. There is no point for him to be there. If there was other people thats different, but if it was just him and her I would of flip out.

I would be angry also. Going back to someone's house after drinks and staying there until 4 AM... I don't see any reason or need for this.

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'd be fuming about the drink, but I'd castrate on going back to her place!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!!!! Ask how he'd feel if you did that. OMG!!!! I am so mad at him, and I don't even know him!!! I need a drink now.

He made me feel as if i was crazy and over reacting. When i mention how he would feel if it were me, he just said it is different since my safety would be in danger and his isnt!!

Of course I would be upset...however, you have to give him some credit for telling you where he was....that shows how much he loves you and how much he believes in your relationship. I lived by myself in Manhattan for 2 years before my husband and I were engaged and there were many nights where I had male friends over til 4 am drinking wine and talking and NOTHING happened, purely platonic. If he is honest it usually means that there is nothing going on

YOu are not overreacting. I am as liberal and open-minded as they get, but I would be bothered by this 4am thing., why would she want to be with someone's fiance that late?
no, you are definitely not over-reacting. just talk it out calmly with him and let him know you trust him, but dont trust her motives.

If he was hanging out with a girl that i had met before i wouldn't have cared as much. I guess it really bothers me that i have no idea what she looks like. What if she looks like a model??? but you're right, he was honest.

for the record, as a newbie to LI in general, most of my friends are guys b/c they are FH's friends...i chat online with them and FH is fine with this for a few reasons, his friends are harmless idiots [his words], most of them are sooooo not my type and he knows it, most of them have a girlfriend (which is great b/c then i gain some female friends!!), his friends cut and paste our conversations to him half the time anyway and they are more like brothers to me than friends....but i would never discuss things with them that would typically be reserved for my 'girlfriends.' nor would i just hang out with them without FH.
kudos for his honesty...but still a little out of line.

I'd be pissed! Fh calls me jealous but what your fh did was over the top, 4 AM and they aren't even good friends? I'm not too happy with that.

safety??? just as easily as a guy could attack you, a girl could have a guy waiting to attack another guy....this sort of thing happens all the time....duh. no one is any more safe in reality.....poor excuse.

I don't want to sound too harsh, but I don't understand why you are even asking this question. You feel the way you feel and he should respect that. Personally , that would have caused major problems between FH and I.

You are definitely not being too jealous. Hanging out with a girl, that you do not know very well until 4 am is uncalled for. Grant it he was honest with you, but he should really think how he would feel if the situation was reversed (and him saying it's different because you would be in danger is just an excuse).
