Annoying pet peeves

I have a lot of pet peeves.
1. People sucking on their own teeth, and make that weird sound.
2. When people are done eating and don't push in their chairs.
3. To accompany #2, when fh and my brother don't clean their plates and leave them on the table (i'm not a maid). The only one that gets excused is my dad. Very long and tiring days, and he cleans his plate.

ETS: 4. When your at a restaurant, and someone keeps blowing their nose. Go to the freaking bathroom and blow it real good.

Another pet peeve: when someone competes with everything you do.

'Nice Gap bag... I just bought a Fendi one.'
'What'd u get for Xmas? Oh, I got ____'
'What'd you do this weekend? Oh I went to _____ and had soooo much fun'.

It's quite sad when someone has to try to put down others to make themselves feel higher.

this is my biggest pet peeve. i have a friend that does this to me constantly, i have basically stopped talking to her because everything was ALWAYS about how she was 'better' than me.

another pet peeve is when people leave their blinker on for miles when there not turning.

Complainers..not the occasional one like what we are doing now but the ones who always start and end everything with a complaint...oh lord, lifes too short!

And on LIW, I hate hate hate when people try to start drama purposelly and act all sly about it or the posters who are never ever on here for months at a time and then are suddenly posting when theres a hint of drama in a thread...ugghh I wanna scream when I see that!

ohhh I just remembered what I hate with passion... we live in a 22 story building, on the last floor... I hate when people press freaking up button when they want to go down and when the elevator stops they dumbly ask you are you going down? no, I am fecking going up and would have been on my floor if your dumb *** didnt press the up button

Oooooooooh, u just reminded me... how about when people press practically every floor below you, and it feels like a local train!
Better yet, when the elevator door is about to close, and some idiot decides to squeeze in, stalling the elevator... and presses a lower floor... like 2. TAKE THE STAIRS!!!!!

OMG..I just laughed out loud...at my job I HATE when someone gets on the elevator to go a floor or WORSE is down one florr...DOWN one floor??? Take the stairs! ( Im talking healthy young people)

HEY i like it that way...it is a fashion statement

That's so funny--my pet peeve is when people just stand there on an escalator, at least when they don't move to the side so you can climb past them! But it annoys me even more on those moving sidewalks in airports. I use the escalators/sidewalks to get where I'm going faster.

Vive la differance!

fairly empty movie theater and they sit right in front of you... Hello.. there are no other seats in here!!!!!


another one I have is work related but also is a fine example of people who don't use common sense (my major pet peeve!).. when people call at three am ( i work over-night) to ask me for directions to our offices.. hello.. it's not like you can come here at three am.. urgh!

Those that get on the escalator and then walk up or down inside of just standing there.

I didn't read the whole post yet so I don't know if someone said this already. It drives me nuts when people stop at the top of the escalator because they don't know which way they want to go. Meanwhile, the people behind them are being spit out by the escalator and have nowhere to go. Ugh! Just move!

When you're in a 10-stall empty bathroom that you have been waiting to be empty ALL DAY so you can do a #2 and someone comes in, and takes the stall RIGHT NEXT TO YOU...even though you did the 'cough-cough-ahem' thing to let them know you're in there for a reason!

When people come to your desk and read what's on your monitor instead looking at you when they talk!

How about when people talk REALLY loud on their cell phones or just talk loud in general when your in a quiet place.

This might just be a Long Island thing, but how about when you walk into a diner (I find it happens more in diners than in a restaurant) or a train station platform and everyone you pass looks at you with a sneer on their face.

Yeah, I live on this planet too, does that bother you?????

Okay, I've got a few. This is fun since I'm not really a 'complainer':

1) people who stand on the left side of the escalator--move to the right, the left is for those walking up the escalator. This is mostly a NYC thing.

2) on the parkways, when someone is trying to merge and decides to cut YOU off when there are no cars behind you. you couldn't wait the 2 seconds?

3) people who are late and don't call to tell you that they're going to be late

4) people on LIRR who so badly don't want anyone to sit next to them that they keep a big *** bag or briefcase on the seat next to them during rush hour

5) people who talk loudly on their cell phones AND those who think it's okay to go through ALL their ringtones til they find 'just the right one.'

6) on the LIRR and subway, people who elbow you while you're sitting next to them

7) people who constantly have something to complain about, but never do anything to change what they're complaining about. if you're not going to do anything, stop asking my advice and acting like it's going to change on a week by week basis!

I'm sure I'll have more to add by the end of the day

How about when you have someone constantly kicking the back of your chair while you're trying to watch a movie????

ARGHHHHHHHHH!
