Another ??? for the married ladies...how hard was it to go back to work after?
After all of the wedding planning and excitement, not to mention the honeymoon, please be honest and let me know - how hard was it to go back to work after all that? My wedding is a little over 2 weeks away, and I'm already dreading coming back after!

haha great question! I felt the same way, I think we all did, because by the time of the wedding day you are basically worn out with planning, stress, and preparing for your absence at work!!
I had off 5 days before the wedding and a full 2 weeks after, so honestly, I was well rested and ready to return after the wedding!!!
You'll be ok, don't worry, your honeymoon will be a perfect way to recharge your batteries. Good luck!!!!

its really not that bad. i was off almost 3 wks from before the wedding--until the HM. and when i got back to work--it was actually kind of nice to just get back to normal. then you can go thru the pics from friends and family.....and be excited about waiting for your proofs and stuff

I worried about this too.... Honestly, I was so exhausted from all the planning that I was pretty much ready to go back to normal. I had two days off before the wedding and then 10 days for our HM and by the time I got back, I welcomed the normalcy again.

We didnt go on our real HM right after the wedding-we went to manhattan for about 5 days, it wasnt hard in the sense of getting back into the habit-it was hard more in the fact that I didnt WANT to go back to work

I took off 1 day before the wedding and 2 weeks after for the honeymoon.
It wasn't so bad to come back. I felt as though I'd gone on one of our vacations (just a longer one).

It really wasn't so bad. I was off for 3 days before the wedding and 2 weeks after so I had plenty of time to rest and enjoy being newly married.

well considering the honeymoon was exhausting it was actually ok going back to work. We went to Italy and did SO much walking. It was nice to sit all day at work after that.

I HAD to do it and pretend it never happened. It was awful.. I got home from my HM and sat in traffic so my FIL had to literally drop me off at my school on the way home from JFK so I could go to parent teacher conferences
It was so hard keeping the secret from everyone, but I had 2 people that knew, so I could share it with them.

For me it was very hard & a little depressing... it was tough to get back to real life after all the wedding excitement & admit to myself that it was really over. I had about 4 weeks off after the wedding so I think this actually made it harder, because I had gotten so used to being off & having fun enjoying my newlyweddedness. However once I got back into the swing of things with my work routine, it was fine. It just took a little time to adjust.

That is a great question
I really did dread going back on the place to go home from St. Lucia- the week went so fast and I took off two days before the wedding (wedding was on Sunday I took off Friday and Saturday).
I also couldn't wait until I left to go on the honeymoon and also get married! I couldn't concentrate on work at all.
Also the downside to coming back is that my co-workers just hate the fact that I am happily married. ..so that was just a downer there.

I took 2 full weeks off after the wedding which helped. I came back on a Monday and my boss was out until Wed. so that helped too!

It was awful I was out of work for 3 weeks and I literally cried as I was driving in the first day back. I was at my desk for an hour before I freaked out and called the head of personnel for a transfer

I was gone for a little over 2 weeks and did not want to come back. I actually didn't want to leave California where I went for HM. I was enjoying SoCal. It could be somewhat hard it was for me.

i spent a week on my HM and then another week getting everything in order
i mean i hated the waking up and going to work part but overall, i was ready for it and welcomed getting into my new routine as a married woman! it made it feel more real to me and i loved it.

I didn't take a honeymoon, so I was back at work two days after the wedding. (wedding was Saturday, I was back on Tuesday). It was fine. The whole thing went by so fast, and then I had the two days to catch up, so by the time I went back to work it was good to be back to normal life and be able to focus on work and other things besides the wedding. Wedding planning is insane - (six months later, I STILL feel like I'm catching up on things and tying up loose ends - photo albums, video, thank you cards... oy. Who has the time for this stuff?). I really enjoyed getting back to my normal routine and feeling like a person and not a crazy bride for the first time in ages!
