Do I 'have' to have a beer and wine alcohol package? It really makes the price so much higher. We like to drink, but it's not like it's going to be awful if we don't. I just feel like it's so much $$!!!

Re: Another RD question
I would include it - I want evryone who is there to honor us to be happy. But if you wanna keep cost down maybe you can talk to the people at your location abot a limited bar or beer and wine only?

Re: Another RD question
since fmil is paying for the dinner, we're having sangria on the table. soooo ppl can stick to that. we dont have a lot of big drinkers comin to the RD.
however, if they want beer/ wine or cocktails, i'm not going to tell them NOT to order it. fh and i will just pay that extra part ourselves privately.

I'm just getting wine bottles on the table. House wine. If ppl want the hard stuff that's their tab

I would get the package if you have big drinkers or run a tab. I personally think it's a bit weird to invite people to a function and then expect them to pay for their drinks. The bridal party typically spends a pretty penny to be in the wedding, so I dont think they should have to pay any more.
I was thinking of just doing beer/wine, but even feel a bit weird about that so doing an open bar

Re: Another RD question
we only had wine. there was a bar so if people wanted alcohol they could BUY it. but we couldnt afford to have open bar two days in a row... we're all drinkers, lol.

My friend didn't... she had a tab going since it wasn't a big drinking crowd.
